The guys in the game are hot but there's no charm to pursuing them. If you enjoyed Uncle Neighbor and thought that this was going to be the same, you'll be disappointed. No NSFW content. No side games. You basically spend all day working so you can buy gifts to win someone's affections. I've spent 17 hours pursuing "Henry" and we sit on the bed telling each other what wonderful friends we've become. It's like the kiddie version of Uncle Neighbor.

💬 Supportive Caveat This review comes from someone who genuinely enjoys what you’ve built here, and who wants you to be able to keep building it without burning yourself into the ground. UncleOffice is a clear step up from Uncle Neighbor in scope, polish, and emotional warmth, and community discussions suggest some players have even been in contact with you and that you’ve been ill and in and out of the hospital, with speculation that the workload on this game has been a big part of that. If that’s even partly true, I hope you’re taking care of yourself first. The game is bigger, better, and more ambitious, and it shows. That said, two choices are holding it back from being an easy full recommendation. First, the sex scenes being removed leaves obvious gaps in the routes. This genre sells fantasy and payoff, and right now the buildup sometimes ends in a fade-out that feels like missing content. The simplest compromise is to add explicit scenes back as an optional DLC or toggle so players who want the full adult experience can have it, and anyone clutching pearls can keep their hands clean. I'm giving the game a thumbs up because I really want to support the dev and look forward to his future games and (possible?) future updates to this one, but this game is a mixed bag. So to start, this game added some progression mechanics that uncle neighbor didn't have. It adds a grind for affection that you need to raise for each character to unlock their personal storylines. Let's just say, I probably would not have been able to play this game if there wasn't a story mode that removed it, because it was so tedious and boring that I had to quit like 3 hours in. Getting around the different rooms and the map is really annoying too, and takes forever. The stories themselves are definitely shorter than Uncle Neighbor's stories. Even though there's technically more scenes as well as some extra mini stories, they're very short and the story goes by super fast. I suspect this might not be noticeable if you play the game in it's regular mode (which I don't recommend, it's really not fun and you're not missing out on anything), but playing through it in story mode really shows just how much less content this game has than Uncle Neighbor. its criminal how little talk there has been about this game and its predecessor. most of the issues i have with this game are largely avoidable and i would recommend this even if they weren't PROS: - vast improvements from uncle neighbor when it comes to storyboarding and plotline -the relationship web is an awesome feature! the side characters in this game receive a lot more attention with their own dedicated side stories which help streamline the plot a lot more -beautiful CG work. unfortunately not as many as there were in uncle neighbor but certainly an upgrade nonetheless -the stories for charlie, chris, and frank were absolutely stellar. i really enjoyed jack, daniel, and david as well -lots and lots of cool background art! -the fact that this is made all by one creator is insane. pumping out this much content within just 5 years is incredibly impressive CONS: -the biggest burden on this game is its main mode. the collectibles and the city travel system just don't work. however, this is completely avoidable by just playing in story mode which gives you all the good content -NSFW content not included in the game, though this is more of a china-problem and not rea…

I really loved his previous game Uncle Neighbour (and if you've not played that, I suggest you start there). This game has different mechanics; rather than separate chapters for each datable man, in this game they are all available to be pursued concurrently (without ever being penalised or locked out of anything) with a calendar and map system. As with the previous game, the background music and scenery artwork does a great job of setting the scene. Also, as before, the CGs for all of the men are really beautifully drawn, and there are so many CGs. Unlike the last game, there are no nsfw CGs here, but even without that, these CGs are still hot!! Each of the men has a unique and interesting story to follow. The game is very enjoyable to play!

In general, I would definitely recommend UncleOffice. The writing is quite nice actually. I tried 8 out of the 12 paths, and enjoyed most of them. It's a huge improvement from UncleNeighbor, which was a bit childish and random writing-wise (although it has its own charm). UO has a more mature/grounded tone, highlighting people making something out for themselves in a variety of careers. It's quite refreshing to have a gay VN set in the 20-40 age bracket instead of college or fantasy. There is no sex scene, but I clearly spot many, many places where the dev is leaving the room to add them later (if they choose to do so). It doesn't bother me in the slightest, tbh. I personally enjoy the romance aspect much more than sex scenes in general. The art style is also a good improvement. I liked UN's art quite a lot, but they were a bit rough around the edges.
