About Understand
Understand is an experimental puzzle game in which every level has a different ruleset.
Each dot below the screen represents a rule.
You have to figure out their meaning through trial and error, then draw a line satisfying all rules.
Features:
100+ levels with ever-changing rules
Language independent
Some "think outside the box" stuff
Terrible artwork
An unexplored puzzle genre

룰을 알아도 기하학적 직관이 없으면 꽤 어렵다. 추천.1 found this helpful
Love the simplistic art, the game makes me feel really dumb but that's what hard puzzles tend to do lol. I love how much the mechanics are played around with, and the way a few simple rules can create really interesting puzzles. It's a fascinating twist on the genre: half the puzzle is understanding the problem, then the last screen is typically solving a more difficult version. Very well made and I'm excited to spend more hours banging my head against a wall :3
it's so satisfying to understand
huge
So, I have not beaten the game. I'm currently on 3-?. I can tell this is going to be a game I need to take one or more breaks on to complete, but I will say, I have gotten way more than my money's worth out of it. I think Understand is definitely not for everyone but for the right kind of person, this is something truly special.
I achieved 100% after 29 hours with looking up some hints and sometimes solving without realizing the rules by brute-force or just guessing. I think some stages are not good especially the
prime number
level, it was terrible and almost completely out of nowhere. Maybe you can think of this game as a riddle game more than a puzzle game; hence, the point of the game is to spot the rules, and there are almost no hard levels when you know the rules. That said, most parts are great, I enjoyed it. Especially "think outside the box" levels, some of these are a bit questionable, though. Overall, I can recommend this game if you are okay with doing some brute-force or if you love guessing. Also, thanks to the dev for not making the game too lengthy and for the very affordable price!
