About Unforgiving Happiness

Unforgiving Happiness

Unforgiving Happiness is a small puzzle-platformer.The objective is simple: connect the batteries to their matching color and collect the energy. How to connect the batteries it's not as simple. Each level gets more difficult as the game progresses.

The reason why I made this game is because I want to challenge the minds of the players.
Each level has an achievement, and that achievement has a little puzzle. Some of the achievements are hidden.

When I was making the game, I was worried about providing only entertainment and not something that you could take with you, for the rest of your life.
That's where the story comes in. Caught between a full-time job and a dream. I share my story of what was happening in my life as I was making this game. I then shifted the story into the future to make it more interesting.

Features

  • Push, pull, jump, grab and a Gravity Gun

This is one of those hidden gems on Steam. The game is nice, hearthwarming, the puzzles are hard, but not frustrating (at least for me), the story is nice and inspiring, and the mechanics are simple and well done.

I got this as a gift from the dev a while back. I never actually got around to playing it until now. I really wish I had sooner. I really enjoy the puzzle-platforming, even though I usually loathe them. The dev has managed to make it fun, and I give him props for that. Also, I can somewhat relate to the story (yes, it does have one, don't skip the cutscenes!) seeing as I am currently in a bad life situation. Overall, I give it a 9/10 (The music got somewhat repetative)

I found myself fighting with the controls more than solving the puzzles. Keyboard or controller didn't matter. Might be a skill issue but I lost interest.

The mechanics and physics are so annoying that I can't play more than 5 minutes.
