About UNHUMAN

UNHUMAN is a 2D idle extraction shooter set in a cyberpunk dystopia. Deploy into hostile zones and watch your character automatically navigate, loot, and fight. Extract before you die, or lose it all.

CORE GAMEPLAY

Deploy into raids where your character automatically navigates between loot locations. Search containers, hack terminals, pick locks - each location offers different rewards. Click on any location to direct your character where to go next.

COMBAT

  • Weapons have heat, jams, and recoil - your gear matters. Each weapon type plays differently: SMGs spray fast, Shotguns slide and blast, Bolt Actions hit hard but slow.
  • Unlock gameplay-changing keystones like Chop Chop (hook and pull enemies), Bull Rush (charge and stun), or Degenerate Gambler (throw bottles, fight with fists).

LOADOUT & STASH

Equip your gear, pack items into your backpack for the raid, and manage your stash.

SKILL TREE

A massive skill tree with hundreds of nodes, 5 distinct classes, and gameplay-changing keystones. Create unique builds and theorycraft in plan mode.

TECH TERMINAL

Chips define your weapon's true potential. Use the Tech Terminal to upgrade your gear:
  • Module items from raids let you craft random affixes.
  • Codes let you choose exactly which affix to apply.
  • Set up a Mining Rig to earn passive BTC - and occasionally discover rare codes while mining.

AUGMENTS & COMPANION

  • Install and upgrade cybernetic augments to unlock abilities like Scan and gain massive stat boosts.
  • Your dog companion detects enemies before they ambush you and fetches extra loot during raids.

TRADERS

Three traders, each with their own specialty. Complete quests to build reputation - unlock discounts, better bargain prices, and coin flip for better rates.

Simple, yet actually really fun once you get started. I usually dont like idle games but UNHUMAN is one of the few exceptions.

Summary: Not really a lot of content in the game that I can see. I thought this would be more engaging than it was. It does have a lot of interesting mechanics but they just don't really mesh together into anything particularly engaging. I've prestiged about 4 times, getting a new piece of cybergear each prestige, and there's no indication that there's anything more to do in the game or new content to unlock. The difference between upgraded and non upgraded equipment is really minimal compared to the difference between tier 5 and tier 1 gear, and while you can use resources to upgrade, the tier of the equipment is simply based on loot drops, so why bother chasing the resources to upgrade anything. The good: The worldbuilding, green glow theme, interface is all very good, great vibe. There's promise of more background info or storyline as you progress Playing around with different character classes was fun Working out the crafting system was cool. The bad: Progression didn't feel particularly real after the first prestige. Most loot that you can actually craft is useless compared to 'prototypes', and prototypes can't actually be modified with any of the crafting st…

incremental idle extraction shooter was a unique enough combo that it got me playing 3 genres I don't particularly like and it's actually been an enjoyable time.

"... how much humanity is left in you after the xth-raid, the nth-augmentation, the countless piles and piles of bodies you leave behind, huh? Well, we'll see soon enough, right? But let me tell you this: most runners don't even survive a few hours out there..." - ur ripperdoc probably incredibly well-made incremental/auto-battler. tinkering with weapons etc. felt a bit like tinkering in Path of Exile, which I enjoyed dearly. the gameplay mechanics were very creatively implemented and fit perfectly with the setting imho. in fact, i just discovered a secret in the endgame and the mechanic behind it was one of the coolest implementations I've ever seen, hands down. the game is (somewhat unexpectedly) an absolute banger, especially if you like the dystopian/cyberpunky genre. had an absolute blast. 9/10. the only thing it's missing is an OST but since I traded my hearing for some neat thermo-vision and an auto-aim pistol, I don't need that anyway.

Well that was a complete letdown.

Could be better. Once you start getting into prestige, it really slows to a crawl with not much progression. I got it on sale for $2 and I think that's a good price point. Definitely not worth full price.
