Unsolved Case: The Scarlet Hyacinth Collector's Edition

The game seemed fun and interesting but I'm only on the 3rd scene and my game is broken and I can't progress. It won't allow me into the attic- it just shows a foggy screen and when I watched other playthroughs that is not happening to them so apparently my game is just broken which is frustrating. Hopefully the devs can fix it

It's a nice game, but it keeps freezing in certain areas and I have to start again and choose a different answer. This is not the only game that has frozen on me here at steam. Steam you need to get get us some technical help. I'm not going to keep purchasing games where I can't finish. The other game was Crossroads: Escaping the Dark. I still haven't been able to finish that game.

Without paying extra for the dlc, the collection edition of the game is incomplete! This results in a game in an unplayable game with crashes or inaccessible scenes if you choose a multiple choice answer marked as “bonus”. I was able to play and complete the game, without the dlc, by ignoring all "bonus" answers! Finished main and bonus game in less than 6 hours I encountered a bug in one of the mini puzzle. The arrows needed to rotate the puzzle pieces were missing. And without the arrows , the puzzle is unsolvable.

The game could be a good game, if everything would work. So there are certain areas you can enter, but then you bugged the game and have to restart. So every optional room in the main story is bugged. Better not buy it.

The third game in the Unsolved Case series. I mention it below but I highly suggest playing the first two before jumping into this one. The story is a continuation and connects too much into the previous two. It would likely be an instant bad game story-wise if you don't have the knowledge of the previous ones. So far it's a series that I've liked and has kept me interested. Given, there is a bias since I love detective/investigation/mystery games and these cover those topics. Now to the actual gameplay- straight to the point. The puzzles were its downfall for me. At least 2 puzzles were downright unnerving, frustrating, tedious and long. So much so, I skipped them and I'm the type of person that pretends the skip button doesn't exist. I like the challenge of a good puzzle but these were not challenging. My oppinion is mostly positive [75%[, more detective investigative content with stronger storryline, less finding repetitive hidden objects, and would be better raring. Dlc also quite good, but its too long content.
