YoYo really attacking its users with this bait and switch. I paid nearly £100 for this after being forced to give up on GM1 which i'd already paid for... After a few years i finally finished a decent game... But YoYo moved to a subscription service and now i have to pay another £70 just to Publish the game. If i could swear here i would. Utter betrayal. After more than 10,000 hours across GM1 and GM2 - I cannot recommend.7 found this helpful

Switched to a subscription service. Not worth the buy anymore, especially since there are a lot of pitfalls using this game engine. There are many constraints in every game engine but Gamemaker used to be a wonderful for prototyping and there have even been a few games released to wide acclaim, but that's mainly credit for the devs and not this engine itself. Use Godot or code your own.1 found this helpful
