Varenje is a delightful point-and-click adventure that builds its identity around hand-drawn artwork, lighthearted puzzles, hidden-object elements, and the imaginative idea of seeing an ordinary summer environment from the perspective of someone suddenly reduced to insect size. Developed by Play Cute and published by JoyBits Ltd., it favors relaxed exploration and visual creativity over complicated mechanics. Its greatest strength is how consistently its art, story, and puzzle design support the feeling of wandering through an illustrated children's tale brought to life as an interactive world. The story begins with an appropriately simple accident. A young boy spending his summer at a cottage becomes curious about an unfamiliar berry growing near a stream and decides to taste it. The result is an unexpected transformation that leaves him approximately the size of a bug. Everyday surroundings consequently become enormous landscapes, and creatures that people normally overlook become significant inhabitants of this newly discovered miniature society. Only the first 6 achievements can be obtained from the free version. This acts as a demo, the full game needs to be purchased through means of DLC. Game throws you into collecting items - many hidden - to fix things around you to progress. Puzzles so far pose a decent challenge Artwork is pleasant and interesting I cant give a full review however as of yet, i havent purchased the full game to comment. Ill update my review once i have done so and completed the remaining levels

Varenje is a really cute little adventure game that starts with a very simple idea and then takes it somewhere much stranger. I am spending the summer at a cottage when I eat an unknown berry and suddenly become tiny, basically shrinking down to the size of a bug. From there I have to explore this miniature world, meet insects and other creatures, solve puzzles and collect raspberries so I can make the jam that is supposed to return me to normal. I like how silly the story is because the game never needs to take itself too seriously. The hand drawn artwork is easily the strongest part for me. Everything is bright, colourful and full of small details, and the fact that I am tiny makes ordinary parts of the world look completely different. A garden, a stream or a pile of objects can become a whole little environment when I am looking at it from the perspective of a bug. I also like the strange creatures I meet along the way because they make the world feel more like its own little place rather than just a normal garden with some puzzles added to it.
