Absolutely phenomenal deckbuilder. It's got a huge amount of variety and each character feels extremely distinct. It's my favorite deckbuilder over StS just for how much variety and replayability the challenge coins add. Highly recommended! I mostly overlooked Vault of the Void to start after playing just so many deckbuilders and Slay the Spire clones, but it is very deep, with many different play styles and upgrade options, and is definitely worth trying for anyone still interested in the genre. The fundamental mechanic of discarding a card to gain energy at will is a nice change of pace. Definitely recommended.1 found this helpful
I'd rate it neutral, but Steam says no, so here we go. Hey, that rhymed :D Either way, while it's not a bad game, but it lacks variety. Not much more to say, really. It's rather unremarkable. By the way I saw a lot of reviews talking about Deckbuilding and throwing around terms like 'small decksize' and others, but this is not a true deckbuilder. You have 20 cards that you can interchange at will and maybe occasionally (depending on how many you have) put a minor jewel into a card, nothing more.1 found this helpful
Its a heavier version of slay the spire. If you like roguelike deckbuilders and want something more crunchy, this is for you. Very polished too.
Fairly deep mechanics, good synergies and flows well. Definitely a competitor for one of the best roguelike card games on Steam.
One of the best deckbuilders/Slay The Spire-like games I have tried with a unique take on blocking damage and a small decksize but with lots of overlapping and intricate mechanics. Very enjoyable.
