VersaillesVR | the Palace is yours

Now I love visiting museums and galleries and it is one of the main reasons I like to travel, so I have had a great time with all these different tours made available for all us VR owners. Now, this is the biggest 3D scan I have personally experienced in VR. It was surprisingly big and I had to split this virtual visit into two sessions because I got kinda dizzy halfway through. You have a good part of the castle available to you with lots of paintings, furniture, rooms and artifacts available to inspect up close as you make your way through the castle. The quality in inspect is pretty good, but the 3D scan is uneven and broken in many places throughout the castle environment. It is 6 years old though and offered for free, so I’m not complaining about it. Детализация окружения поражает: от блеска зеркал до текстуры гобеленов, всё выполнено с любовью и вниманием. Интерактивность на высоте. Можно рассматривать предметы, приближать их, узнавать интересные факты об истории дворца и его обитателях. Особенно впечатлили экскурсии, где рассказывают о жизни во времена монархии. Чувствуется, что разработчики проделали колоссальную работу. Единственный минус – небольшая заторможенность в некоторых моментах, особенно при большом количестве деталей в поле зрения. Но это не критично и не портит общего впечатления. Настоятельно рекомендую всем любителям истории и виртуальной реальности. Это не просто игра, а настоящее образовательное приключение!

This is fantastic but you need to turn the graphics settings up the tutorial is a badly implemented but fine once your past it ,, i would of liked the gardens to of been featured. well done to the developers.

I really wanted to see Versailles in VR. So I was not amused the many times I tried with Quest 2 and now Quest 3 (with RTX4090) only to experience a black screen. Finally it worked. I guess the trick was to stand up and turn around. The rooms and the art are very nice. I recommend it because it's for free and filled with great art.
