Vexed Heroes

A self-admittedly solo project, made predominantly to learn how to even make a game. And that inexperience certainly shows, with a lot of rudimental graphics and UI elements, some readability woes, slightly off hit detection, and "cute" little oddities like being able to shoot once during the pause menu and such. But even with all its obvious rookie errors, Vexed Heroes is a fun little bullet heaven game. By focusing on min-maxing a single weapon (one that has to be shot and aimed, so no auto-fire) and summons, the action can get quite frantic, though the enemy variety isn't high. There's also only 2 very similar stages, but at least the progression in terms of difficulty scaling seems virtually infinite. Anyway, it certainly isn't a masterpiece, but it's not aiming to be one. Solo dev Mint has made a fun attempt at tackling the ever-growing bullet heaven genre for his debut, and for the price of just under 1 USD/EUR in the current Steam Sales, it's a good couple hours of entertainment. Vexed Heroes is a fun top down bird's eyes shooter with cute graphics and unlimited re-playability. There are many ways too build your selected hero through the vast different permanent stat boost and in-round skills chosen on level ups. Great game, looking forward too future projects from this creator.

Had a blast playing this game. Really enjoyed the graphics and the different synergies.

For its price this is a fun, charming and solid survivor game. The gameplay is enjoyable with enough skills and passives to choose from. Interresting addition that all upgrade have a little humor quotes what made you smile or laugh sometimes. The XP gain is not traditional survivor way, as you earn XP by killing enemies like in Diablo, however you need to collect the skull currency. With these skulls you can unlock more characters and get permanent passive upgrades, so the meta progress is presented. After 100+ survivor game I played this was a nice surprise, a little friendly charming cheap game. Recommended.

Fun shooter game with fun cute artwork. controls are smooth and the game plays nicely, 10/10

I love the idea of infinite scaling. It makes me feels powerful the more I work on it. 2 problems though. 1. sound glitch 2. default attack not auto Bored of other similar games but still want more? This game has different flavors to help changing the pace.
