About Vinebound: Tangled Together
A magical vine fairy wakes you up to save the corrupted Garden Lands, but in order to grant you its powers, it needs to tangle with you! Now you can neither get too far away nor get too close to your partner.Cooperate and survive intense 10-minute runs filled with chaotic hazards, adversaries, and bosses while tied to your "berry" good friend in this fresh new twist on the bullet-heaven/horde-survival roguelite genre!

The magical vine allows you to share weapons with "ping-pong" cooldown flowers that zip back and forth along the vine between you! Align, position, and time your attacks as the flower reaches you to effectively strike your foes!Brandish weapons like the Banana Sword to slash towards your friend's opposite direction, or surround enemies and zap them casting the magic of the Strawberry Rod! Each weapon will require different strategies, and every attack adapts to the performer's build, allowing both players to customize the same weapons to their preffered upgrades and flavors.

Craft powerful and unique builds with limitless combos and synergies, like unleashing multiple inflated Pumpkin Bombs causing massive Frosty Mayo explosions, or evolving your Strawberry Rod into a crit-hit monster engulfing enemies in Spicy Sauce flames!Expand your arsenal by collecting golden seeds to unlock new weapons, items, sauces, and characters, all of which you can upgrade ranks to increase their powers between runs!

True cooperation is what sets Vinebound apart. Not only are attacks influenced by your partner, but you must also work together to open treasures faster, strategically pick drops, combine builds and revive each other amidst overwhelming odds. It's about cultivating your synergy, even if it requires chaotic communication and a few screams.
When playing solo, the vine fairy takes over the other end of the vine, echoing your basic movements but still able to move fast and independently as an aim. It’s immune to damage, can collect drops, and has its own upgrades, allowing you to strategize combos for more than one character. Experience the full potential of the vine gameplay without overwhelming yourself.
Survive scenarios like entangling forests, slippery ice floors, and shifting lava walls, each with special conditions such as getting frozen and needing to be dragged by your partner, all while facing moldy elite enemies carrying shiny treasures and formidable bosses. Complete the game for the first time to unlock the Spicy Mode and challenge yourself with tougher settings using your enhanced arsenal and skills!

No one seems to be talking about how little content there is in this game. There are only 3 levels, which you can beat in an hour or two. If you're good at these kinds of games you could probably beat it in about 1.5hrs... Also, I unlocked all of the cards already, which surprised me. After a few hours more I have all the best cards upgraded. Not much to do after you beat the game other than play the same 3 levels more with arbitrarily faster more damaging enemies.. The quality of what is here is top notch, better than the competition. But until there is more content I can't give a good review.5 found this helpful
Single co-op vampire survivor game. Perfect if you are on the verge of divorce!3 found this helpful
Vinebound: Tangled Together is such a cute, complete, and energetic twist on the horde-survival genre. I played mostly in local co-op with my partner, and maneuvering around the map with the tether mechanic is a wildly fun, synergistic challenge. You actually have to verbally communicate to survive the chaos! I also played a bit of solo mode, and it was honestly so much more relaxing because I didn't have to worry about dragging my partner around on the other end of the vine! The game runs buttery smooth, the art style is absolutely adorable, and it isn't overly complex—it just knows exactly what it wants to be. Upgrading your weapons feels super satisfying, though we definitely found ourselves repeatedly choosing our favorites and completely ignoring a few of the duds. My only tiny gripe is the upgrade descriptions - I kinda wish the game showed actual percentages for stat increases and "apply chances" so we knew exactly how much we were juicing up our builds. But aside from that little nitpick, it’s an incredibly fun, polished gem. Highly recommend as a light, weekend play!
I am very satisfied with how solo play was implemented in Vinebound. The art and music are cute, and being tied together is a unique mechanic that made positioning challenging and strategic. The difficulty curve between zones was well balanced, and I enjoyed learning what passives to prioritize every run to deal with certain foes. If Co-op is chaotic, then solo is serene. If either sounds good to you, try out Vinebound.
I liked it a lot
I played this game with my husband and it’s one of our favorite co-op games we’ve ever played!!
