About Viscera

For thrill-seekers and those who love fast-paced action in their gameplay, Viscera is definitely one to watchPCGamesN

Bless Animation Logic for helping keep the twin-stick arcade shooter alive – GamingNexus

Viscera
is an arcade-inspired top-down shooter that steps away from the mechanical density of modern games into no-frills mayhem. No crafting, no skill checks, and no dialogue trees – Viscera is all about you and as many guns as you can handle against the unending mutant onslaught.

Unleash your arsenal

Wield over 50 weapons and master the complex perk system with over 80 abilities to create your ultimate build. Choose from assault rifles and high-impact explosives to more esoteric choices, such as gravity guns, lightning turrets, and black hole generators!
Stay on your toes and never get complacent: guns and skills come and go thick and fast, and you’ll need to constantly adapt your approach against the onslaught with each and every new weapon and skill.

Prove yourself

It is the far future. The world of Viscera is harsh, cruel, and relentless. Unending mutants stalk the earth. Humanity is gone. Cities are toppled, infrastructure is abandoned, and life as we know it is over. You are the last man against the horde, and it’s time to make your stand.
Climb the leaderboard on four unique stages with their own challenges and chokepoints, and be the best at withstanding the horde before the inevitable end takes you. Unlock new weapons, abilities, and stages as you complete new objectives and achievements.
This gritty, sci-fi top-down shooter is the culmination of a 17-year game industry veteran drawn to the single-minded purity of classic games. Master your weapons, perfect your build, and get that high score. Viscera is here. Come get some.

Unfortunately, as much as I would like to, I can’t really recommend Viscera in its current state. It has the fundamentals of a potentially good shooter, but it could be so, so much better. Occasionally, it manages to let the genie out of the metaphorical bottle to unleash some genuinely fun carnage (especially once you get some upgrades and powerups going), but most of the time, you’re struggling to have fun because you’re hindered by a bland art style, enemies that are difficult to make out on the map, repetitive levels, and a lackluster repertoire of weapons with too many guns that feel unsatisfying and unrewarding to wield. With some patches and updates, this could be a worthwhile game, but for now, I’m not sure I can recommend it. Can be fun in short bursts but also very repetitive, no idea or explained on how to achieve each medal so I only played the first level downtown. Serious performance issue when apocalypse bomb used, game slowed down to a crawl. Very average graphics and OK sound. Very pricey for what it is in my opinion. Its all just a bit much, no idea what any of those powerups do, too many at one time, gives me a headache, and just not enough GAME here, feels like a demo or a concept for a game, not something anyone would pay $ for... let alone 25$ !!! not even close to worth that.

I found this game extremely fun as i like these fast bullet hell games! It is a game i can just drop into, kill bugs for a few rounds and stop. I only have a bit of an issue with the optimisation of the game, particuarly in the later rounds the more enemies and particle affects are on the screen the worse it seems to get it may be possible that obs might have been caused frame drops to intensify, but i dont think so. Other than that I enjoyed my time with the game would recommend. here is my First Impressions video for Viscera https://youtu.be/Pbl1wXrOopA

In an age of strong, innovative bullet-hell-and-heaven shooters, Viscera fumbles to establish its identity. It’s addictive, but lacks polish and a mechanical depth I’ve come to expect in modern games, even if they’re emulating the feel of arcade machines. The first 13 minutes were pure joy! The visuals, game play and audio is really solid. One of the most fun top down shooters I can recall enjoying within the first few minutes. Looking forward to hours of fun with this title.
