Players have mixed feelings about this indie shoot 'em up. While some appreciate its fast-paced arcade action and customization options like CRT effects, most criticize the floaty controls with input delay, unbalanced enemy formations, and the annoying mechanic of the ship bouncing off walls and losing lives. The visuals are considered average, the level variety is lacking, and several players found specific design choices frustrating, particularly the cave level.
Shooter with somewhat different approach. Controls are not the best part here - they feel floaty and much delayed. Power ups fall from the skies constantly, you just have to wait. Some of them are weird like spinning blade across almost half of the screen. Visuals are average and so is the gameplay. Interface is ok, you can customize some options like CRT effects or scanlines. Music is ok. Levels are not the worst but lack in some variety and you can play them in any order. Enemy's formations are bad and chaotic pretty much. Your ship will bounce off the walls losing life which is super annoying especially in cave level. I was expecting something much better from this one. Play only if you're craving for more shovelware shooters.
14 found this helpful

I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of y…3 found this helpful

Void Source is an indie shoot ‘em up that embraces the philosophy of classic arcade gaming while incorporating a few modern progression systems to keep players engaged beyond a single playthrough. Developed by Xitilon and Lovixsama and published by Xitilon, the game places players in control of a UFO tasked with surviving waves of hostile enemies across a variety of dangerous environments. Rather than focusing on story-driven content, the game is built around pure action, quick reflexes, and the satisfaction of mastering increasingly difficult combat encounters. One of the most appealing aspects of Void Source is its fast-paced gameplay. The action begins almost immediately and rarely slows down, creating a constant sense of urgency. Players must navigate through enemy formations, dodge incoming projectiles, and unleash a wide range of weapons in every direction. The multidirectional shooting system allows for a great deal of freedom during combat, making encounters feel dynamic and engaging. Success depends not only on firepower but also on movement, positioning, and awareness of the battlefield. The game offers a respectable amount of variety through its environments and stage …
Pixels flicker like an old TV every level is an eye test and I still don't see the plot here.
