About Volcano Eruption
A short and sweet VR experience of seeing a underwater volcano scene turn to an island chain. No moving required just sit back and enjoy the show.

It's free but can't recommend. There's no sound so zero emersion happening with the volcano erupting in silence. It only goes for a few mins but gave me a headache due to the awful stretching and skewing of the visuals as you move your head around. Graphics are pretty rough, no interaction present. I'm not quite sure what story (if any) it was trying show? Maybe the start of the formation of a volcanic island? Starts off with slow motion mantas and whales swimming then suddenly accelerates to show the volcano above the surface of the water.4 found this helpful
Volcano Eruption is a free VR experience. It worked on my system, looked ok, played?, sounded ?. Mostly a very short loop of assets strung together. Does not make sense or look good. Maybe 2 minutes of content and 1 minute for the title page, then the loop starts again. Nothing to learn here either. Do Not download this.3 found this helpful
"Volcano Eruption" is not a game. Games contain meaningful gamelike interaction and game loops, which are absent in this "art experience". Instead of being a game, "Volcano Eruption" is a software application that presents a poorly made art exhibition. This is a short Youtube video that shows a volcano erupt and turn into islands. It's ridiculous this was published as a "game" on Steam Direct. This is why Valve needs to reinstate QA to filter out this non-game crap... it's bad for everyone. We get this non-game shovelware on Steam whenever film school dropouts are desperate for anyone to give them validation, so they publish their short film on Steam because nobody watches their garbage on Youtube. There was a video section on Steam, but it's deprecated and basically closed, so failed filmmakers seem to just try to abuse the Steam games section instead. Why is this good for gamers? It's not. For those who don't know what defines a game, a "game loop" explains the interaction and feedback a gamer gets while playing a game. An obvious example of a game loop would be in games like Forza, where you drive a car in a circle. If you're faster and more skillful than the other dr…1 found this helpful
