About からかい上手の高木さんVR 1学期

Virtually experience the playful and relentless teasing of heroine, Takagi-san, in Teasing Master Takagi-san VR - 1st Semester (Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san VR). With sales of the original comic series exceeding 8.2 million copies and two anime seasons broadcast in Japan, the romantic comedy makes its debut on VR platforms as a VR animation.

In assuming the role of the main character, Nishikata, not only will you be able to experience being the target of Takagi-san's affection(!?!) up close, you'll have a variety of opportunities to interact with her – more so than other VR animation titles to date. Spend time with Takagi-san after school cleaning up the classroom, play at the beach, and more!

In addition to popular scenes from the original series, Teasing Master Takagi-san VR features original scenarios you can only experience here.

If you ever wanted to trade places with Nishikata and get teased by Takagi-san, this is the animation for you!

This is a short one. My recommendation goes mainly to the people that really like Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-San (Teasing Master Takagi-San). I do like the anime and manga. It is a cute story. However, this game is not what I expected but it is still a fun short experience. You get 4 short chapters that you can play through. As a fan of the series, you should recognize the parts from the story. I have started the game three times, the first time was to see how it worked and didn't finish the first chapter. Second time was to show another fan what this game is and the thirt time I played through the chapters. My playtime is 30 minutes. I think the game itself can be played in 15 to 20 minutes. Graphics are good, mechanics are as far as I know fine. Not all triggers are explained, I had struggles with the beachball. If you aim to beat Takagi-San, forget it. The devs made sure you would not win, just like the anime. Buy this if you are a true fan, skip if you want a good anime game in VR. If you are in the middle, maybe wait till there is a sale going for this title.

The VR implementation is janky, inconsistent, and borderline schizophrenic, but it does capture the anime fairly well. It's essentially four short little minigames based around the type of scenarios you'd see in the show, where Takagi challenges Nishikata to some kind of game and Nishikata always loses. The first game is sweeping up litter in the classroom, which is a common sketch in the anime. This minigame has teleport locomotion which set my expectations that the rest of the game would too, but it's just the first and last game and the second and third games basically force you to walk around for real if you want to move. Sweeping the litter is fine, but it commits my least favorite VR sin which is actually making you bend down IRL to do something. It's not as bad on the Quest 3 as it was in the Index days but my playspace is... small, which can be a bit perilous. The second game is trying to toss soda cans into waste-basket, another common scenario from the show. This one's not bad conceptually, but the inconstant mechanics really start to show here. It's worth mentioning that Takagi has (Japanese) voice acting but Nishikata doesn't even though he does speak through …

If I played this game, I would play for 2-3 hours, I think I would end up at a psychologist with anxiety, the game is cute but also scary !!!

If your a fan of the series and looking for more then this is for you. There's not really a lot here at all, you basically get a chance to experience Takagi from the viewpoint of Nishikata. For most anime lovers of the series that's usually enough but if your not a fan of the series I don't see you enjoying this experience.
