About Wait! Life is Beautiful! Prologue
The process of playing Wait! Life is Beautiful! is similar to watching a film that stimulates a nerve, especially when the viewer finds themselves immersed in the protagonist's anxious state of mind. At the center of the plot is a young guy, an ordinary clerk, he is not at all a hero, and certainly not a magician.

Watching him, we are instilled with his emotions such as tiredness from the monotony of life and depressing thoughts about the meaninglessness of life. However, there is a desire to change his life for the better, to look for a new meaning - in empathy, compassion, while helping others.

As we try to engage in dialogue with potential suicide victims, we can study their problems and carefully choose the right words in an attempt to talk them down. This can be difficult because the main character tends to cover up his fear with black humor and an ironic attitude to what is happening. This is his defensive reaction. Against the background of stress from the stories he heard and his regrets about the departed, the main character begins to see dark psychedelic dreams that give rise to a feeling of approaching madness.
However, do not forget: all events and characters in the game are fictional. Moreover, the game does not aim at saving everyone. The only purpose is to make you think.

It hits close to home but that's what the warning is there for. Nice little game, don't play it if you're sensitive like me though.
sick demo
Had this in my library from ages ago and decided to give it another go. I think it's a successful combination of high-stakes drama and low-fidelity production. Worth trying if the premise interests you.
Overall, the game approaches a serious issue in a more simplistic manner, and also is tedious in certain ways regarding game mechanics. Firstly, while I believe it does a decent job in showing some of the factors that may play into one's depression, the main character convinces people to not jump much too easily. While it is true that if the player chooses one of the 'incorrect' options, the character immediately jumps, the player only needs to choose around 3 options correctly per character in order to prevent them from jumping. While this makes sense in terms of a gameplay perspective, I believe that each character's reaction afterward is what could be improved upon; they appear to accept what the MC has said completely, and overall seem to be mostly unaffected by having been so close to jumping. It makes the overall experience of being close to suicide seem less severe and impactful, in my opinion. I believe that having the character's (at least some of them) end dialogue be more emotional and less certain in their decision to continue living could make each scene more impactful, and overall show the subject matter more realistically, without sacrificing the gameplay. Secondly…
Dark, but beautiful, as someone who wants to work as a therapist and is a mental health advocate, this is just... beautiful... just like life... Made me realize, my life isnt so bad. ofc you can play as a villain and off them all, but, when you play as the hero, hearing their stories, their worries, their drive to suicide, you realize, maybe your life isnt as bad, maybe just maybe, you are trying to save yourself in this game. When i heard the war guys story, i stopped and think, how many military folks are dealing with the same pain, it drives me to work harder for mental health, and motivates me more to do so, this game is beautifully well thought out. I really am excited when this game comes out, please, never kill yourself. Talk to a love one or someone who can help. There are people who love and care about you. As a recovering suicidal, I been clean for 4 years... It hit deep... I was abused, brought down, bullied, but i never been in war, never experienced old age, never had the pain they went through, we all have different pain we carry. And nobody has more pain than someone else, maybe we feel it more, but at the end of the day, nothing we go through, should cost our lives,…
