About Whateverland: Prologue
Whateverland: Prologue is a glimpse into the universe of an upcoming adventure game.
Whateverland is a hand-painted point-n-click adventure game with a branching dialogue system, non-linear gameplay, various endings, and unique in-game turn-based strategy sports simulator.
Vincent is a skilled thief who decides to steal a precious necklace from a mansion of a lonely old lady named Beatrice. His plan would have gone perfectly well, but when she catches him red-handed, she turns out to be an ancient and powerful witch. As a punishment, Beatrice sends him to the parallel world she has created, where the witch traps those she considers her enemies. The first inhabitants of this bizarre world called it Whateverland, and since then it kind of stuck. Vincent teams up with a weird guy named Nick, and together they are willing to find their way out.
Are they going to make it? That's up to you!

Nice prologue, made me want to get the game itself, curious what will happen to vincent and I'm interested for more adventure in Whateverland.1 found this helpful
What a buggy mess... I finished it than restarted to get "steal cheese" achievement but the game thought I already have it while it was on the table. I restarted again but this time the game thought I already have the rudder you need to get to progress. Also blue or black screens instead of a picture, buttons out of screen area in 3440*1440 resolution and so one. I needed to Alt+F4 several times and restarted the game like 10 times to get all achievements in a 20 minutes demo. Wow. Artstyle and dialogues are ok and I have main game in my library and I just wanted to try it out with a demo but now I'm afraid to touch it.1 found this helpful
Игра 'Whateverland: Prologue' очаровала меня своим необычным миром и стильной рисовкой, напоминающей лучшие образчики классических квестов, но с современным лоском. Интересная завязка сюжета, где протагонист, вор Винсент, оказывается проклят и попадает в причудливый мир наказаний, сразу же интригует. Диалоги написаны остроумно, да и сами персонажи запоминающиеся, даже второстепенные. Геймплейно это стандартный point-and-click квест, но головоломки в меру сложные и логичные, а наличие системы морального выбора (совершать добрые или злые поступки) добавляет реиграбельности и влияет на развитие сюжета. Я потратил с удовольствием пару часов, решая поставленные задачи и узнавая больше о законах этого странного мира. Единственное, что немного расстроило, это то, что это всего лишь пролог. История обрывается на самом интересном месте, и теперь с нетерпением жду выхода полной версии игры, чтобы узнать, как дальше сложится судьба Винсента в "Болотах Судьбы". Рекомендую всем любителям приключенческих игр, особенно если вам нравятся проекты с юмором и необычной атмосферой.
