等一个蛋 / Waiting for an Egg

等一个蛋, or Waiting for an Egg, is a pretty funny little idle game because the whole idea is basically about waiting and seeing what happens. I start with a small chicken coop and slowly build it up while my chickens go through their review cycles and hopefully produce Inspiration Eggs. I like how the game turns waiting into the actual gameplay instead of trying to hide it. It is very simple, but there is something relaxing about leaving it running while I work on other things. The chickens are where most of the progression comes from. There are eight breeds and each one has a different cycle time and chance of producing a better egg. The eggs come in five tiers, from Q4 up to TOP, and I can sell the results for Funding. I can then use that money to expand the coop and unlock more options. I like that there is still a little bit of decision making here because I have to think about whether I want faster results or whether it is worth waiting longer for something better. The focus timer is probably the feature I found most interesting outside of the idle system.
