Wanted Raccoon

The game has a cool concept behind it. I can't wait for it to be finished, I wanna play more.

I have no idea where all the positive comments are coming from, they must be bots, because this is completely unplayable. There was nothing to do outside the starting area after escape, and everything was a janky mess. Me and friends on stream went to the top of the mountain/hill outside the starting area, and there was nothing there. Building assets you could ghost straight through, NPCs that do nothing, traffic that just stacks it against each other and nothing to do. I'm guessing this is where the Devs for DRIV3R ended up. Having a small or just one dev team isn't an excuse anymore. sorry. There's tons of games out there that play amazingly well, with just one or two people at the helm. I cannot recommend this to anyone, Save time and hard drive space.

Firstly, full props to the developer for producing a Raccoon Simulator. Raccoons need love, and we all love a good trash panda. While I highly recommend this game for topic, fun, and genre, I think its important to acknowledge the flaws. Hopefully, while its in early access, the developers can take feedback and integrate it into development for an even better kick-ass game. And at the end of the day, isn't that what we're all looking for ? A fun raccoon game that lets us live out our raccoon fantasies? So the first major flaw is performance. I'm running it on my Steam Machine, and the default graphics settings suck ass. Frame rate is low and the game is sluggish. Lowering the graphics from the defaults does speed up performance CONSIDERABLY to 30FPS, but graphics deteriorate badly too. I suspect that because its early access and still in development, its not fully optimized. So I can cut it some slack there, but I strongly hope that its something the devs are working on. Secondly, the aiming interface is often missing objects that are right in front of my raccoon, and I have to back up, approach from a different angle, or adjust camera. the X to interact or pick up object will…

Imagine if GTA and Goat Simulator had a baby. That’s basically what this game feels like. A weird mix, but honestly, the concept is pretty interesting. Because of that, the game itself is fun and definitely has potential. However, it’s full of bugs. Some are funny, while others can be pretty game-breaking. The bugs definitely need to be fixed, and adding a few more sound effects would also improve the experience.

I played this first about a year ago maybe and the game seems more buggy now??? First the crates you can be locked in, when you press e to exit the crate you spawn in the crate itself. You can move, as opposed to fixed camera spot, but you can't get out. Then getting in the garbage truck after the boss house goes okay, but there are two cop cars that crash and after that or soon after this steam hissing sound keeps looping over and over. It probably is the sound effect of the cops cars smoking after the crash but it is horrible and doesn't stop when in the junkyard. I tried continuing but it's just too annoying. And then all the small issues of things, npcs and myself clipping through walls. The camera feels janky and stuttery, the movement doesn't feel smooth, the skateboard controls badly which is annoying in the cop scene after getting out of the boss house. Or when you talk to someone it takes like a second or two for the npc to start talking. Or when I changed the graphics to a lower setting and the SOUND STOPPED WORKING??? And all that in less than an hour of gameplay. The devs had great ideas and I can really see how this game can be fun if the game is a lot less buggy and…
