War of Omens Card Game

The game is pretty good. Sadly, it hasn't been updated in years. I can only hope that it does get another update eventually. The game does need a long of grinding if you wanna get all the cards. Even more so if you want all of the characters. But if your ok with that, I highly recommend this game.

Beautifully handcrafted game with depth to playing styles, interactions and a multitude of effective strategies. Suffers from a general lack of player-base depth - there are a number of players with very complete collections, and having a complete collection of upgraded cards (which is largely achievable completely free) is of fairly significant advantage to players, so the few active players you might meet as a new player will pose a demanding to nigh impossible challenge. That said, the PvE element, up to master/grandmaster difficulty, is winnable as a base deck player, and as your collection of cards and their upgrades advances, access to stronger strategies will allow for progression through to higher difficulties, and the campaign. the campaign is still unfinished as of yet, posing severe challenges in PvE up to and including bonus difficulty rounds in 12 chapters for the original hero, complete with lore and story-driven interactions that pose legitimate challenges to even completely upgraded decks and the most experienced of players using them. each faction has a distinct theme, and each hero within a distinct personality in terms of how they play, each bringing unique pl…

A CCG with unusually unique mechanics. Has card upgrades and takes crazy grind to fully unlock everything to reach an even playfield if you were to play this competitively, but luckily that side is very de-emphasised, and for a the-grind-is-the-game approach durdling against bots, you get far enough easily enough. Over the years this has been one of my staple destressing games, once you get comfortable with it the gameplay is very fast and smooth. If you enjoy card games then definitely check this one out as its system is very unlike your usual dudebashers and slay the spire likes, and it has probably the most mechanically distinct factions I've seen anywhere. The game never really "made it" so the campaign doesn't go far and it hasn't got updated in years, but there's plenty to see in just feeling out all the different deck archetypes in bot skirmish games.

Oh look, another grindy card game ! But wait, I can't stop playing it, 132 hours and counting, new cards to unlock and leaders to level, PvP and PvE both entertaining and repeatable. Highly reccomend !

I've just started playing this game, but I enjoy it a lot. Has a lot of depth to it. Generous rewards for daily quests. Edited to add: Servers are a little wonky. Sometime they'll cut out. I just had tens of hours of playing time reset due to a server malfunction. Daily rewards can only be switched once, and multiplayer quests are unable to be fulfilled. Higher grade card packs can only be unlocked when the minimum grade that they give is already maxed - or one can buy the unlock for $10 (that's a money grab).
