Players are divided on this WWI flight sim. Some appreciate it as a straightforward, accessible arcade-style flight experience that captures the fun of classic aerial dogfighting without requiring a steep learning curve, while others criticize it for being a watered-down remake that doesn't live up to the original game or modern alternatives—with common complaints about misleading features (like the advertised zeppelin), poor controls and UI, limited aircraft selection, and the need for a subscription for multiplayer. The game seems to work best for casual players seeking quick fun rather than
Total piece of crap. Its not even the graphics. I couldn't care less about graphics. What I DO care about is good gameplay and games that are enjoyable to play. I read that you could fly the zeppelin in this. You cant. Multiplayer costs a subscription, the controls are garbage, theirs only a couple planes (and no flyable zeppelin). Just stay away. If you want to fly WWI era planes, look into Il-2 Battle of Stalingrad. Their moving all the WWI era planes from Rise of Flight into Il-2 and both games were fantastic to begin with. Just stay away from this garbage. Its not even as good as the original cell shaded Dawn of Aces...17 found this helpful
I don't understand why the user interface is so terrible. This game was perfect in the 90's.5 found this helpful
Not the same game from back in the day. Not gotten better with age. I loved the game years ago. This sucks.4 found this helpful
The first combat flight simulator I flew was an old dos-based game called Red Baron. It was pretty simple graphics even then, but had a good flight model. And it was easy to use. Sometimes, you just want to fly. This game reminds me of that old game so much I wonder that the devs aren't old fans like me! I have more sophisticated flight sims now of course, including SOTA combat flight sims, and I love them all! But this game you can play on your lunch break at work, with just earbuds and a PnP joystick, or old-school with keyboard and mouse! Best of all, no matter what, it's super-fun every time! Like I said, sometimes you just want to fly!
this game is a easy version of rise of flight....kind of
Great WW1 flight sim .If you`re interested in WW1 you have to get this sim.
