[h1]Before I played Wardwell House VR, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good[/h1]

"Wardwell House VR" is a weird and pointless VR tech demo where you look at some 360 photos and wave your arms around a bit. What do you do in the game? The story, revolving around a mysterious island and a haunted house, is entirely unoriginal and predictable. The gameplay mechanics are limited to point-and-click exploration, with little to no engaging interaction or challenge. The game is really simple and unambitious in terms of implementation, more of a tech demo or one of those cases where an amateur developer spends $100 to publish something on Steam Direct to see if it's possible. Yes, obviously it's possible. A proof of concept, tech demo, or something that's less than a little blip on the radar isn't offering anything truly valuable to gamers. The graphics aren't great, static 360 black and white photos (they couldn't afford colour film???)... and the images aren't even stereoscopic, so there's no 3D effect in your VR headset. That's understandably a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. This is a great VR point & click game similar to those old flash games like "The House," "Purgatorium," or "Exmortis." anyone who remembers these games will love this with a VR twist.

Index user: Interesting idea... but either hasn't aged well, or was not made for the index... or both. No controllers needed/supported. Couldn't find any way to summon an options menu. I felt like a tiny pixie floating high above the ground in a world of giant things. Really REALLY wish the text wasn't parented to the headset. It's fine if the text always swivels to stay in front of me, but I have to strain my eyes to read the top and bottom of the text walls because I can't look up or down, as the text just follows. Sorry to say, but it was a waste of download time.
