About Warlordocracy
The Story So Far:The Viridi Republic fell quickly and unexpectedly with the mysterious death of the First Man. The great houses spiraled into an orgy of violence, Salvio "the Scorcher" Tevani burning all the crops and dwellings he passed during his exodus from the city of Jadenbury. House Mesali managed to subdue the other noble families and entered into a trembling alliance behind the capital’s walls. Other warlords have emerged from the smoldering ruins of the republic, and others still wait like vultures on the borderlands: the Bearded Bandits of the Lorntops, the all-female Third Moon Pirates that smuggle the addictive drug known as moonlight across the Southern Sea, the porcine krugen tribes of the Dead Steppes, the quick reptilian troglodytes of the arid eastern badlands, and the expansive slave-trading Izar Empire that spans two continents. The town of Lockdell is perched atop the cliffs of southwestern Orinia, patiently overlooking the waves. It is here that Salvio the Scorcher is raising a militia to retake Jadenbury from Andresi Mesali. You just so happen to be one of Salvio’s selfless "volunteers".Game Features:-Upgrade 5 skills and unlock dozens of combat, social, crafting, and magic abilities-Control up to 5 main characters, each with unique personalities, beliefs, skills, and loyalties-Summon an additional 20 henchmen for a total of 25 units under your control on the battlefield-Each chapter is a small open world with towns, dungeons, side-quests, and multiple endings-Total freedom of action: steal from stores, murder friendly characters, double-cross your faction, or not-Your party, inventory, and reputations are saved and carried over to the next chapter, leading to unique scenarios and challenges for each playthrough-Utilize a fully-functional world editor, so you can modify the story or design your own complete stories (and sell them on itch.io)

MONSTER of a CRPG right here! Made by the legendary dev behind Brigand: Oaxaca, this game features much deeper features than you may think, like dialogue and ability checks, a bunch of skills to develop, party-based real-time-with-pause combat and more! Awesome stuff. The dev keeps developing it too and adding more and more, definitely worth your time if you are a CRPG fan!9 found this helpful
Perhaps the worst pathfinding in any video game that I have ever played. At times it runs flawlessly and at others it slows to a snail's pace. I have been informed that party members have died in explosive friendly fire before the game's lag has caught up to the explosion itself. Every single skill point of progress feels monumental. Buying this game is an ethical imperative. I would let Brian J. Lancaster build my home. Nobody can do it quite like he does.5 found this helpful
I'll give it a thumbs up but honestly the clunkiness of the UI and the inventory management especially really holds the game back. Still if you like old crusty real time strategy you might like this, but only if you have the stomach for extreme menu jank.5 found this helpful
Terrible UI, great game.5 found this helpful
English: Bought this without knowing anything about the dev's public behavior. Turns out Brian J. Lancaster (Brigand: Oaxaca / Warlordocracy) has been running mod contests where you get paid to design maps about assassinating real politicians — Biden, Netanyahu were his suggested targets, "any politician" was fine too, $50 prize. He framed it as a free-speech joke and mocked people for being upset that Trump got shot at during a rally. In the comments he straight up said he's tired of people acting like killing politicians is a tragedy, since "people get shot all the time". He also ran a separate contest asking players to gun down ICE agents with a minigun. In the comments there he said he writes in "Free Palestine" every election until it happens, and that ICE agents belong in prison. He also blocks people for saying anything he tags as "Zionist" — worth noting Zionism just means supporting Israel's right to exist as a state, nothing more sinister than that. He's openly pushing these views right in the comments and posts attached to his own games, and that's not something I want to support with my money. Can't recommend the game. It's good. Pathfinding needs some work, but it's manageable if you don't click a destination on the opposite side of the map. Combat and dialogue are really fun.3 found this helpful
