Warranty Man

Cool concept though I wasted a lot of time not being able to find the last bank note, I wish that once you searched a zone, the indicator on the wall would have a line running through it or there's some sort of assistance for finding the notes instead of searching endlessly. I also wish we had a stamina bar as I was saving my sprint for when I got chased. I like the design of Warranty Man, pretty creepy. It's free, it won't take long if you get lucky on the first run, just remember you need the money and the parking pass/card before you can go to a machine and then leave. The game runs fine apart from in zone 01 where you can go around the corner and walk under the map. Had large frame rate issues when walking in zone 01. Every other zone was completely fine. Also, one time I went to a van to get away from Warranty Man and he caught me anyways despite me standing right on the van. I thought they were meant to be safe spots. A bug that happened for me is I would set my resolution to 2560x1440 and when loading into the map, it changed to 1280x1024 and the game looked awful so double check that if yours looks weird! Hello, welcome all Chuds, Gamers, and other Nerds. I aim to 100% all the games that catch my eye and join the sea of reviews on this platform. Most will never read this, but I will review the games I find simply and thoroughly. 1 What is "Warranty Man?" A PS1 styled “Slender: The Eight Pages” clone. 2 What does this game play like? Walk and collect the notes (bank notes in this game) before the “Warranty Man” finds you. Simple rankings Story NA/10: None to speak of. Game play 5/10: The map is far too large for what this game wants to be. (The map is very creepy and could have been used well in another game, but that game does not exist.) You will spend the majority of your time wandering around the empty parking garage, and when the warranty man finds you, you will have ended up wasting 15 minutes or more of game time. Overall 5/10: The game works. That’s about it for positives. If you want a “collect the 8 x” game, go download “Slender: The Eight Pages,” as this game is not worth anyone’s time.

This one's okay. Nothing special, though. Basically, it's a comical horror game where you collect dollar bills in a massive underground car park, all whilst avoiding the Slenderman-esque monster: the Warranty Man. As other reviews have pointed out, a possible criticism is that the map is perhaps a bit too big and could be scaled down somewhat. Like so many asset flips on Steam, this is the result of dumping a bunch of plagiarised assets onto a basic first person horror game blueprint. The developer didn't even take this seriously, there's a joke premise about being sold car insurance. They don't even bother pretending it's rain anymore. So, "Warranty Man" is partially or completely made up of stock assets, "borrowed" from asset stores and free asset websites. Little, if anything in this game is the creation of the "developer".
