Warrior Kings PROS: + cool campaign story + various campaign paths + building & unit tech trees + unit formations make a difference + battleground choice matters + fun multiplayer + flaming arrows! CONS: - clunky & outdated graphics - graphical glitches - some AI bugs - hard to set up a mulitplayer game Comment: Old gem in the RTS genre. Played it back in 2004 and 22 years later it's still fun. The branching paths of the campaign come each with their technology - pagan, renaissance or holy/imperial. You can commit to one path only or you can mix up renaissance with one of the other two. These missions unlock based on your choices in each level which I found really cool and interesting for an RTS. If you don't mind the graphical flaws and love various possibilities to conquer your foes with armies (or well-placed fire arrows, hehe) then this game is for you.

one of my favorite games of all time. criminally underrated for its time. still a wonderful play through today.

Its nothing but a waste of time. It takes forever to build your base to a point where you can get units out. Theres no stockpile to have your peasants drop resouces in to speed up things, theres lack of fields for your farms to get food, peasants dont automatically build buildings or go resource farming after building stuff so you need to select them again; probably you cant change the mouse speed (its very slow) and its hard to see and select pesants and units sometimes. Why do buildings cost so much? Why getting a gate is 600 materials (it really takes a while to get that)? Why cant it be cheaper so that i can get peasants in the manor to deliver resourses instead of them walking all the way around? Why is there a cart mechanic? Why did this game need a cart to deliver resources from your villages to the manor (after its delivered only then you can use the gathered resources and the cart moves increadibly slowly)?Its such a waste of time. There is no skirmish mode to skip the boring campaign; its only campaign where they put you to giant empty maps to waste your time and in it you move your units from one end of the map to another end. A game ages old that had such innovative ideas and campaign that puts even modern day RTS and games to shame. Shame that there are no more games like this. A very good RTS with an incredible charm and vibe to it

og game, if there is a game that needs a remaster its this one, an underrated gem about humans demons beasts and mythology, I grew up on this game and let me tell you its the OG game of thrones only the dragons are replaced with beast from the demon realm
