Crazy game control method but worth persevering at to learn. Difficult at times but not frustratingly so once you get the hang of the frankly madwhack mechanics. Lots of difficult to master techniques and super hard endgame style challenges for those who like that kind of thing. Runs well with no bugs that I'm aware of and sports a massive 80 levels to complete. Its got that kind of playstyle where you run on autopilot but simultaneously have to focus intensely. An underrated gem in my opinion.

A truly one of a kind movement mechanic that I've never seen anywhere else before, this game deserves so much more attention and love.

What a unique game! Quite difficult! Awesome music! The controls are so wacky and so unlike anything I've ever played before, but game is paced pretty well to ease you in. It'll be a little bit of a struggle at first but then it becomes really satisfying navigating through the levels! The first section in Level 59 though -_- If you want a challenge, you'll definitely get one with this game!

"Wavey The Rocket has its ups and downs, it’s crests and troughs, if you will, but it is still a good game at its core. There are just a few rough edges that need to be worked on and status quos to break free of" 6/10 Full review at https://darkzero.co.uk/game-reviews/wavey-the-rocket-pc-review/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NupegYshqGM&feature=youtu.be

I sat here for an hour-and-a-half straight, holding back a huge crap, hoping that I would get the 'knack' for this game while watching Wavey crash stupidly over and over. Four directions and a Dash button are all that's required but Wavey travels much too fast down his wave. There needs to be a 'Slow' button. Slowing down requires using the four directions to properly and VERY accurately adjust your path but the game moves far to quick to accommodate that much fiddling. Only thing I could really compare Wavey's game play to would be R-Type at 4x's speed while holding your game pad upside down and rapidly spinning in a swivel chair. You can't blame someone for trying something new but if that something new is a sloppy mess it shouldn't be celebrated with a twenty dollar price tag. BTW - get ready for the 'Carousel' optical illusion when you exit the game; don't stand up too quick. Like what happens when some people bite into a York Peppermint Patty I wound up face flat on the floor with a turd sticking out of my ass.
