About Rad Rocket

Robots have invented rocket jumping and they need you to test it for them! Use your experimental rocket launcher and make your way up from their secret underground facility all the way up to the surface and beyond! Get ready for over 2500 meters of precision platforming, rocket explosions and smooth jazz. You will experience a whole lot of failing, falling and getting back up again through seven different zones in this punishing precision platformer.

No savescumming, no checkpoints... NO MERCY!
  • Controls: Rocketjump to launch yourself to where you want to go. Easy to learn but hard to master.

  • Difficulty: Failure is a feature. We try to keep things challenging, but fair.

  • Local multiplayer: Help each other get higher or work against a friend in local multiplayer, switch between horizontal or vertical splitscreen with the press of a button (Currently only mouse and keyboard for player 1 and a controller for player 2 are supported)

  • Alternate paths: Choose different paths and find shortcuts. However remember: The bigger the reward, the greater the risk!

  • Cosmetics: Earn and a equip a collection of 12 hats during gameplay

  • Auto-save: We save everything, even your mistakes.

  • Tutorial: Learn the art of the rocketjump in an easygoing (optional) tutorial.

✦ AI summary

Players consistently praise this challenging platformer for its solid presentation, art style, music, and polished performance, with many comparing it favorably to similar games like Getting Over It. The main complaint centers on the steep learning curve and floaty mechanics that take time to master, alongside the difficulty spike from lacking checkpoints, though most players find the addictive gameplay rewarding enough to push through the frustration.

It's well made for what it is, and certainly fun to play. If you're into punishing platformers then you should definitely give this game a go!

An eleborate gist of a somewhat Newgrounds-ish game, fairly simple to pick up, but can take a while too master. The presentation is above avarage and no funny business going on with your FPS or anything. If you dont like overcomplex games with a steep-learning curve, or require more of that early 2000s NG simplicity. However mechanics feel a bit "floaty" at times these "floaty" elements are influential for finishing the game.

This game was very fun to play, it reminds me a lot of Getting Over It, but this one is way more fun. Loved the art style, the music choice and the sound effects were clean :)

It took me a while to finish the tutorial and to figure out the best way of jumping. The game itself is quite challenging since checkpoint/respawn points are absent. The game is addicting and fun, i fall down often but im still getting better each time. I really want to beat this game :) Btw the game runs smoothly on my noisy 8 (!) year old laptop.
