What Lies in the Multiverse

What lies in the end… are a few achievements you might have missed. Coming from a Chilean studio, this narrative puzzle platformer lets you switch between universes to alter the environment of a level and provide a challenging way to overcome obstacles. Each of them feels different and given the game can be beaten in around 8 hours none of them overstate their welcome even if they could be cumbersome to traverse through due to the sluggish nature of some mechanics. The highlight of the game comes with the characters. Without delving into spoilers lets just say that there is a reason for the content disclaimer once you boot up the game. The lines they deliver carry a certain weight and you can witness their consequences from how the story develops further as you go through each chapter. There are certainly lots of goofy and heartwarming moments, as well as those that carry a lot of weight. By the end you may find yourself either going back for narrative purposes or to look for some of the optional collectibles and earnable missable achievements. While the tracking system for these is not great as you have to rely on memory, they expand a little bit on the already traversed …

Such a fun and interesting puzzler! Swapping between different dimensions is such a unique and clever idea and the various realities we see add new mechanics that keep the game feeling fresh! The puzzles are all well implemented and the platforming is super satisfying and built around its mechanics! I also really liked the story and characters, and it did a great job balancing the humor with more serious moments! The story definetly went in some directions I wasn't expecting and got quite a few laughs out of me! I'm also a sucker for good pixel art and this game has such pretty and well done art! I love how fluid all the character animations are! Real impressive game here!
