Do you like RPGs that have not learned anything from game design in the last 30 years? Then this is the game for you! Here is what you will experience -Characters that act like they are in high school, though the game says it is a college -Poison that lasts after battle (look even FFX knew not to do that anymore). -Constant Respawn of enemies when you change maps. -Being lost all the time due to the HUGE mazes that span multiple maps -Going from fighting dragonflies I can one shot that give 8 EXP each to, in the next area, fighting bats that I can't one shot that give 4 EXP each. -Enemies that can stun you! When you are by yourself. -Skill points handed out slower than Scrooge hands out money. -No increase to stats at all on level up except HP. -Chests that can only be opened from one side. But look the same in all directions so you'll constantly be seeing this chest can only be opened from the other side. Look I know many RPGs did this stuff in the early 90s, but its not the 90s anymore. We have learned a lot on game design and what makes them fun since then. There is a reason in the 90s many said RPGs were too tough to get into. Let's learn some lessons and apply then, instead…2 found this helpful
I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of y…1 found this helpful

Whisper of a Rose, developed by RosePortal Games and published by KOMODO, is an independent fantasy RPG that demonstrates how a compelling story can leave a lasting impression even without cutting-edge visuals or blockbuster production values. Built with a clear appreciation for classic Japanese role-playing games, it tells the tale of Melrose, a young girl whose difficult home life drives her to seek comfort in dreams. What begins as an escape from bullying and neglect gradually unfolds into a much larger adventure when she discovers that the world she has imagined is real and in desperate need of her help. The result is a game that blends traditional fantasy elements with surprisingly mature themes centered on loneliness, acceptance, and finding one's place in the world. Unlike many RPGs that immediately focus on saving kingdoms or defeating ancient evils, Whisper of a Rose spends considerable time establishing its protagonist and her emotional struggles. Melrose is easy to sympathize with because her problems feel grounded despite the fantastical setting surrounding her. As the narrative progresses, players encounter a colorful cast of allies and adversaries, each contributing …
It´s an RPG Maker game of the good kind. A beautiful fairy Tale like Story, hand drawn assets, beautiful music and lots of game for your money. Expect no less than 30 hours of gameplay. But contains some grinding which technically really isn´t necessary for a good game that´s long already in first place. Still... If you like fairy Taleish RPG games you can pick this one up.
