Wizard Of Walls

Best of the best of the best remake ever.

In 1980, a game that required you to use your wits and senses to beat a bunch of bad guys came out called Wizard of Wor. I wasn't any good at it (I was just a tiny little kid) but my brother was super good at it. I had completely forgotten about it until I found out about this remake. This remake is faithful in all ways except for 3, one, the graphics are modernized. Gone are the weirdly shaped pixels of ages past but it is a nice 2.5D shooter. Second, every 5th level has you shooting at spiders. This is a nice change but adds to the difficulty. Third is the only thing I have to ding the game for, don't forget the original game had speech. I want the taunts and the teases from the Wizard because that will activate my sarcasm mechanism. Either way, this game is really good and gets hard fast. Other than that, this is a faithful representation to the original game. I mean it won't win any PC Gaming awards but it is a nice shooter from a simpler time. Highly recommended.

Super fun! I really dig the graphics. It feels like a dark 2D game until you fire your gun and see the details of the dungeon walls. Simple enough for kids to play as well.

Just love it,I'm an old c64 fan and played WOW a lot and still do to this day, tried using my C64 mini but much easyer to use C64 Forever, but Wizard Of Walls has much better graphic's, I'm sure most will enjoy it, have a go.

Thank you for my childhood back! This reminds me of a game I used to Kick A--- back as a very little kid. Sadly it's something that's been nothing done with save re-releases on various consoles. Let me add most "Re-Makes" seem designed to ruin the experience and cash off the name, so maybe a 'spiritual successor' is a good thing. I'd rate this a 10 since it uses modern graphics, improves it a bit but a fanatic for the old game still loves it. And it can work almost as flawlessly in the modern ultra high memory/speed/graphics enviornment. I did ONCE end up clipping out of the maze, couldn't see my character then got ported in right on top of an enemy...but it's nothing to complain about. I think I tried to spawn on top of an Egg in the Spiders section...? But the egg was on my spawn point and not really time to let it drop Spiders. I'm having so much fun its a laugh not a curse! Games had glitches way back, I managed to defeat Adventure AFTER being swallowed by Yorgle - anyone there have any idea how I did it?
