About Head Worms

As a patient at an isolated mental research facility, you will have to prove your skills to survive and make it out alive as gruesome and deranged experiments have gone wrong.
Find clues, solve puzzles, hide, and survive in this grizzly first-person survival horror simulator.

Adapt or Die...Head Worms takes the player on a horror-filled adventure like no other. Use your skill and wit to navigate indoor and outdoor spaces. Combining different game styles Head Worms keeps players on their toes with a variety of spine-chilling challenges. Do you have what it takes to decipher puzzles and solve riddles while on the run from terrifying creatures?

Non-static challenges...Head Worms offers frequently changing game styles. One moment you could be testing your survival skills fending off a horrifying monster and the next moment you are putting your critical thinking to the test to solve a brain-twisting puzzle in time to avoid certain death.

Intensity stays high...While some puzzles may be forgiving on the time allotted to figure them out, other puzzles will require you to be an agile thinker in tense situations.

Don't get comfortable...It will take everything you have to survive. Use hiding spots, examine monster patterns, figure out the correct way to solve a puzzle before you try it. Don't get sloppy. The consequences can be fatal.
Curator page here--> DaRevieweD #70<-- New review every Sunday
Head Worms (HW) is Adam Jaber's/GMP games' proper debut into the horror genre. I phrase it as "proper" because his 2016 game Horror in The Asylum, to which he has admitted was his self-perceived failure. Although, I can't deny/agree as I haven't had the pleasure to play the latter. I can say this much; the setting, gameplay and horror style appear to be similar... So, think of HW as his way of redeeming himself and the negative reviews he got in the past. Now, I usually have a sense for mediocre things, a gauge if you will (only 50% accurate though) and the minute I laid eyes on the game- it was telling me, don't! I even had to consult my acquaintances, the dev himself and my inner self in helping me decide! Finally, I did eventually give in and as heartbreaking as it is to say- I was right. But, not entirely... I'm still very mixed right now and in spite of it being a -ve review, it's not gamebreaking or terrible to any degree. Before you change your mind, let me at least tell you why~
"It's Just In My Head...Right!?"[…

Bear in mind I received a copy of Head Worms for free to review and stream on Twitch. GAMEPLAY (7/10) The gameplay loop of Head Worms is very similar to the Amnesia series. The player has to solve somewhat complex puzzles while avoiding certain doom from a variety of looming monsters stalking them throughout the level. It feels well done. Things are not overly complex. The AI monsters seem to follow a set pattern and once you learn it they are easy to avoid, assuming you are fast enough. Overall, satisfying and engaging. GRAPHICS (5/10) The graphics in this game are somewhat below-average. The game is made in Unity by a small team and graphically the game is very reminiscent of 7 Days To Die. Normally this would be a huge turn off for people, however, this isn't really an issue due to the overall tone of the game. ATMOSPHERE (9/10) The atmosphere in this game is amazing and completely makes up for the lack of graphical fidelity. The devs use lighting, fog, and audio cues to create a truly creepy vibe to the levels as you try and progress. I think the most atmospheric level was the third (don't worry no spoilers.) The way I felt while being stalked through…

Great game, i really enjoyed playing this game, and still have not finished it, but so far the game runs smooth, creepy ambient that keeps you tense most of the time, and the scares are just right, the puzzles start off slowly and easy to understand, there is no mystery there, but the combination of puzzles and fear it offers makes you feel an accomplishment each time you progress, solve a puzzle or reach a new checkpoint where you can take a breather and get ready for what is next. I'm looking forward to finishing this game and seeing the new areas, and what it has to offer. well done! recommended!

This game does an AMAZING job of creating an intense and scary atmosphere that keeps you scared, stressed and on your toes. It doesn't rely on jumpscares (there is one, aside from when you get caught by the monsters), but rather just keeping the atmosphere creepy through use of amazing lightning, noises, and audio cues. You keep feeling like something is watching you/ stalking you, especially when you're outside. The gameplay comprises of solving puzzles and avoiding the monsters - taking the time to work out the monster patrols and running behind them creates really intense vibes. I love it! If you're playing this solo, good luck! I played it on stream and still was a scaredy cat. Definitely a game to play if you're looking for like a scary experience.

This game is alright, but a bit too pricey for the length. get it on sale. Nice atmosphere but fairly generic when it comes to horror games, puzzles are easy solve and solutions are very clear if you read notes.
