Woof Blaster is a small-scale arcade shooter that immediately distinguishes itself through an intentionally ridiculous premise. Woof Blaster is one of those games where the idea is so ridiculous that I immediately know what kind of experience I am getting. I play as a dog with a gun and jet boots, running around trying to find magical pizza that apparently holds the key to becoming King of the Dog Planet. It is a free single player action shooter from 2015, and the whole thing is built around shooting waves of enemies while moving around a small arena. It does not take itself seriously at all, and I think that works in its favour. The shooting is simple but there is enough going on to keep it entertaining for a while. I have different weapons and power ups to use, while the jet boots let me move around much more freely than I would expect from such a basic shooter. The ability to transform into different monsters is probably my favourite idea, especially when I can turn into a T Rex that shoots rockets from its mouth. It is completely silly, but those kinds of ridiculous abilities give the combat some personality instead of making it feel like I am just shooting the same enemies with slightly different guns. Разнообразие апгрейдов и видов оружия позволяет экспериментировать с разными стилями игры и находить наиболее эффективные стратегии для прохождения уровней. Игра отлично подходит для коротких игровых сессий, чтобы отвлечься и весело провести время, но будьте осторожны – она легко может затянуть на несколько часов!
