lazy mobile port that only runs in a tiny fixed window that was already a problem 12 years ago when the game came out on pc, and it's an ever-increasing issue as monitors and resolutions go bigger and higher. there's a thin (480x640) and wide (1024x640) option, wide only adds more background on top. decent pixel graphics, music provided by kevin macleod. separate volumes, zen and pro difficulty and a colorblind toggle are the only settings, with only volumes and thin/wide available while playing. there's a how to play section, a monster library (just icons of encountered ones, no names or info), a stats screen and some non-rebindable hotkeys. [b]mousing and typing and general keyboard navigation both work (navigation to a lesser extent)[/b], which is always a pleasant surprise in any word game, especially mobile ports. [b]it's not turn-based[/b] though, so the best strategy is spamming 3-letter words. brush up on those, check the rest of your vocabulary at the door and you're golden. endless shuffles on offer but the only time words are defined is during events, when they're used to open a chest or fully heal a hero when they're about to die. there are also traps to disarm by rem…

The resolution size makes it hard to play, and sometimes there just aren't words available to get through the fight. It seemed like I would have had better luck just letting my cat walk across the keyboard than trying to spend the time to pick out words. While the aesthetic is cute and I do like the look of the game, it's not what I was expecting and just isn't for me.

The game doesn't start on Win10, it only slows down the mouse, nothing else is happening.
