Spell Wizard

This game is a fine basic typing game, but the roguelite aspect just feels quite shallow. Most of the progression here is through permanent upgrades that you unlock and basically type words until you get overwhelmed. There are few decisions that really matter, so each run pretty much feels the same. If all you want is a simple arcade typing game, this is fine.

If you like to type words and you want to use those words to shoot mice and snails this is the game for that. Progression feels slow--really slow, I've put about 2 hours in and I have yet to unlock a new level, or unlock any of the more fun sounding spells. I've only gotten limited health upgrades and some "hot streak" ones. "Hot streak" helps you get more gems, but unfortunately, it's not enough to make progressing feel worth the attempts. I'd like to see those changes, but for a simple typing game it does what it does.

While it's fun, it's not enough to keep my attention. I've had a couple runs and there's just an eventual point where it's too much without upgrades. Okay, fair enough, the upgrades are a core part of the game. But good lord does it seem like it's gonna take forever to get them. You gotta give the player something early to get them started. Boosting my hot streak or health doesn't change my gameplay at all, but those are a couple of the cheapest options you get off rip. For upgrades that actually affect your attacks the cheapest is 2.5k, just for level 1. The others start at 4k. There's another game, Epistory Typing Chronicles, that makes changing your weapon type matter. There's strategy to freezing big enemies, or blowing away groups of enemies, or burning a long-worded enemy so that you don't have to type their next word. As it stands this is just too bare bones. I don't even want to grind for the first weapon because it feels like it's gonna take too long for too little reward. I'll give it another couple goes but I doubt I'll last much longer past that.

11/10 ign. Add a 1v1 mode and that would be epico

Super fun game to just mindlessly play, only 3 levels and an endless mode to play but they're all pretty fun with gradual increases in difficulty. Has a good list of upgrades to unlock to help you do better. Honestly it's just an all-round great game, just wish there was more stuff :) *btw, idc who you ask, achieving 100% accuracy is insanely difficult and should not be attempted by the faint of heart*
