"Wrecked: Get Your Ship Together" is a rather shoddy VR tech demo that plays a bit like if the first 10 minutes of No Man's Sky were mentally deficient and VR exclusive. What do you do in the game? Basically your chair is the control chair of a spaceship and you wave your arms around in VR to interact with a fax machine and hack together a ship that works. But that makes it sound way more fun than it really is. This is incredibly janky to the point it barely works... it's evident no playtesting was done. The thing about VR games is that the way the player moves and the environment moves around the player must be done carefully to avoid triggering dissonance between the inner ear and what the eyes are seeing... motion sickness. Just like when you're in a boat and you don't look at the horizon... the floor moving while your eyes tell you it's still will make you nauseous. Well, the developers here don't know about that, so this will make you hurl in minutes. It's just badly made, end of story. The game is really simple and unambitious in terms of implementation, more of a tech demo or one of those cases where an amateur developer spends $100 to publish something on Steam …2 found this helpful
