Good premise, but my gripe is that if you die and click continue, you don't actually continue where you died, you go back to level 1. If this changes, I'll give this game a thumbs up.6 found this helpful
It is fun but when you die you go all the way to the beginning which is obviously annoying. That is my only problem with the game but it is a huge problem. If the game gets a saving option then I think I would be up to playing this game again but for now, I do not recommend it.3 found this helpful

"YanYueDao Kill" is an unusual but unfortunately disappointing take on the RPG genre here on Steam Direct. Basically this plays like a very dumbed down ripoff of far better, older CRPGs like Might & Magic and Eye of the Beholder... a grid map that you explore. The difference being you see your little pixelcrap character instead of having a party, and the RPG elements are much, much more shallowed and dumbed down. Combat is more arcadey, with worse design and underwhelming results. There's also a lack of features that almost make this feel half finished... no save feature, restart at the beginning... that's lame. Whatever potential this had is lost with the way the developer apparently walked away from it. And despite being a recent publication, this has worse graphics and gameplay than those ancient games from the 1990's that this is ripping off. This game fails on the visuals because of the use of incredibly lazy, ugly pixelcrap. The developer would probably argue this is a "deliberate artistic choice" but we all know it's because the developer was incapable of producing anything better. I only played for 13 minute then stop. I'm thinking I might play again in the future but turn out I don't. Good for killing time for 13 minute.
