Homophobia cannot be a game mechanism ! There are multiple ways to educate through games about homophobia, but the treatment here is the worst I've seen in a long time. Your Prince has to act a certain "masculine" way (misoginy), avoid contact with princesses (the ye olde cliché of gay men hating on women, of course), and receive letters from "concerned citizens" when you try to make your country a bit more equitable. Those letters can include rampant homophobia clichés, very trigerring words and threats (putting "the gays" in asylums, really ??). This isn't educational, it isn't funny, and it certainly doesn't have it's place in a "queer" game.

🎮 Gameplay & Genre A fairytale parody with light resource management, randomized daily events, and multiple branching choices. You play as Prince Amir, a gay prince trying to avoid marriage proposals from eager princesses while keeping the kingdom afloat. Around 3 hours to complete a full playthrough. No achievements, which might irk completionists. 🔥 M/M Content This is a PG-rated gay game. No sex, no nudity—just charming, earnest queerness wrapped in fairytale camp. Prince Amir is very much a gay lead, which makes this safe for young players or those who want queer content without erotica. That said, our younger gaybies might be playing other things anyway (we know how it is). 🎨 Visuals & Style Cute, bright art with a storybook flair. Stylized character designs and light animations keep it whimsical. The excuse system is a standout—combinations of excuses get more ridiculous as you go. 🗣️ Tone & Writing Cheeky, irreverent, and sweet. The game is definitely silly, but underneath it is a sincere story about living authentically while managing expectations (and a whole kingdom). The writing holds up for what it is—even if some parts get repetitive after a few cycles. 👍 …

A cute little sim that takes a fairly light-hearted approach at royal intrigue and espionage. Resource management was a little unbalanced but overall I still had a good time.

Once again, the woke games list has allowed me to find a wonderful gem of a game! I love managing stats and getting stressed out so I thought I might enjoy this game but, oh, i just LOVE IT SO MUCH! I really didn´t anticipate how much I would enjoy the writing and the characters! It´s also not as stressful as I thought it would be and honestly thats kind of nice? To play a game and just have a really really good time? I highly recommend this game, its wonderful! Anyway, spoilers hehe, [spoiler] I can´t believe I´m saying this but I´ve never been so happy to get a pamphlet from a cult before! Never have I ever played a game in which allowing a cult to continue existing was treated as even a remotely good choice! It´s just really nice and precious to have religious freedom tied to freedom in general <3 I also liked that a lesbian found me, after I made no effort to be subtle about my sexuality haha, that feels very realistic. And I liked the unicorn racists because, yeah, I can see that lol. Gotta use those dungeons for something! [/spoiler] Just so many cool things to see and do and all of it is interesting aaaa <3 I´m having such a fun time! <3

It's a cute game, a charmingly short play, and I had a good time with it! There are some points that could use smoothing out, but nothing that interfered with my enjoyment of the story.
