GOD EATER 2 Rage Burst

You get God Eater 1 Resurrection if you buy God Eater 2, so that's a lot of God Eater for those that want it. Speaking on two, there are a couple of things to know if you are coming to get into it. Story: -A huge amount of the early story is focused squarely on the Blood unit, and its a big gamble on the games part to try to get you to connect with the characters before the story actually picks up. Don't like the characters? To bad, you spend like the first 12 hours having to deal with each of their individual stories. -Padding out the story like you wouldn't believe. A massive amount of "story missions" do not actually add anything to the story, or move it along. They are just normal missions that you have to take. There are plenty of times when you are doing story mission after story mission, and absolutely nothing is happening. It can feel glacial at times for anything to happen. There are plenty of free missions to do if you wanted to grind, and there is no reason to have so many story missions just lead to nothing. -The main villains goals are held way to close to the chest by the game for far to long. You get an upgraded version of the first God Eater with a purchase of this one and that one is decent enough. The second one is insufferable waste of time, it has like 5-10 hours of gameplay and they try to stretch it to 100hours by any means possible. Plot is wack and they managed to make Aoi Yuuki voice an annoying and poorly written character. Ah yes, almost forgot, both games do not have Japanese voices included, you have to look for them online and install them by yourself

God Eater 2: Rage Burst is a better game than the first one, but not by much, in my opinion. It’s still an easy pick-up-and-play game and doesn’t change all that much from its predecessor. If you didn’t like the first game, I don’t think this one will change your mind either.

Lags horribly after playing for a short amount of time. Probably because of Denuvo. Waste of money. Pirate it instead...

+ when on sale, a good bargain and one of the cheaper 3d anime action games on Steam + includes prequel God Eater Resurrection + good enough anime story that got me interested to finish the games + can customize your character's looks with cool outfits + on most missions you can have 3 other AI npc with you + bullet editor lets you cheese if things get too tough + easy to run on low end - very repetitive. Most missions are on the same few maps with same-ish enemies (God Eater 2 has more variety tho) - controls took some getting used to - zero exploration - unexpected difficulty spikes that almost made me rage quit and forced me to git gud / cheese
