Love is Dead

Very fun puzzle game

A wholesome puzzle game with some classic flash game roots. Love is dead precursors were free 2D flash games telling a story about lovers that were zombies, well this is essentially a similar case. The game is good. However, I feel that it's way too long. There are 7 worlds with 6-9 levels each, but every level has 3 stages, and there are some super short bonus levels. So there is a lot of content, especially for a puzzle game, but every stage has a new gimmick with a cool spin on the formula, which is nice. I really can't complain that much about the game because the overall theme, gameplay, and presentation are good. But yeah, given that it took me 11 hours (with collecting everything) to beat, it's a little bit too much for a simple puzzle game, but I played it as a single-player game, and the game features a co-op mode, and I believe that playing it with someone would be much, much better without feeling stale, but I recommend the game; just keep in mind that you might want to take a break after a few levels. Also, my minor gripe, but I think I was never triggered much more by an audio sound effect in-game than in this one, which is the sound of a human turning into a zombi…

Played for 15 minutes. Great game for those that like weird casual puzzle games.

The game starts with a simple premise about the oldest story ever told: search for your lost loved ones... But this time you're a zombie looking for your dear pets. Although a story is explained as you progresss through the levels (I have to applaud the voice acting), this is mostly a puzzle game. However, the puzzles are incredibly eclectic and cleverly designed. Each world introduces new mechanics and also each level feels different and unique in its own way. It’s great to see a game with this much variety. The 3D isometric perspective adds a nice touch. The artwork is very charming and cute, despite the fact that the main characters are actually stick figures. Enemies and movement can become problematic. Defeating them is sometimes a game of tease, which is a perfectly fine mechanic; but I found it a bit too difficult to time it correctly, especially in those levels with bullets, cannons or lots of other things going on at the same time. The tile-based movement is also burdensome in some levels, for example those with rotating features while avoiding enemies and flying objects, turning the game into some sort of platformer when it is clearly not designed as such. Asking so much money for this game is beyond insulting There is barely a game here, and what there is consists mostly of avoid projectiles thrown by infuriating AI Your movement feels unresponsive which is a first for a grid base game There is barely anything that could be considered a puzzle and most of the ones that exist can be completly ignored due to massive oversights in the levels design There are dozens of little mechanics that are introduced(most of the time poorly) and then never developed or used outside of their one three stage level This game has good presentation and that's the trap, looks good so lets buy it, but no the game sucks and the developers were never interested in making a good game, how do I know that? Well it's simple the game has an achievement for collecting all pancakes(basically an extra "challenge" present in all levels but some of the pancakes are broken like the very last one and can't be obtained so what did the devs do? Did they fix the bug? No they reduce the amount of pancakes needed to get the achievement... So yeah don't buy
