✦ AI summary

SONIC SUPERSTARS has a solid single-player experience with good graphics and fun multiplayer, but players feel the $40 price point is too high for what amounts to a safe, traditional Sonic game without enough innovation to justify the cost. Common complaints include frustrating difficulty spikes, camera issues during co-op, buggy collision detection, punishing boss fights with no checkpoints, and a lack of online multiplayer. Most players suggest waiting for a sale at $15-$20 if interested, with several concluding the game is not worth buying at full price.

This is actually really good if you're just playing the Single Player. I would totally recommend this but I can't... it's not worth $40. It's not even worth the $28 I paid for it and it came with Frontiers.... The issue here is that the game is just a plain Sonic Game... which is fine but it's not enough to justify the price. Don't get me wrong... the game is good and has a very high quality single player experience but it's very safe and doesn't do enough. SEGA would've done better if they just made this game with 2D graphics... it would've saved them money and they would've been able to sell it for cheaper. Maybe they could've used some of that money to make it Online Co-op... I think the reception would've been better. If this was $15-$20 this would be a no-brainer... but $40... with no Online Co-op... There are other side-scrolling Platformers that cost less and offer more. I play some of it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TaqA1M6CX_g&t=4589s

This Game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Sucks!!!

Game was pretty interesting at first, fun with a friend that I played ti with but when one person went off screen for going too fast the one left behind always got teleported and if you were trying to get the Giant rings for the chaos emeralds it was almost impossible. This game also has a very zoomed in screen compared to the other 2d games so you also wouldn't have a chance finding the rings without mods in single player. I got mods and it wouldn't let me play it anymore and I don't feel like troubleshooting with that. Might be fun if there were some things tweaked but if you were planning on just playing sonic for fun don't get this game.

This game was completely terrible. the graphics were good, the levels were so unbeleivably hard and don't even get me started on the glitches. I was about to beat the final boss but then i lost a ring and instead of falling like it should have, it just disappeared and I died, the difficulty is so terrible on the final boss. you have to survive for at least ten minutes and there is no checkpoints, if you die, you have to restart. This final boss fight was so hard it took me almost two hours and super sonic was so UNDERWHELMING you get a boring transformation that lasts 0.00001 seconds and in most levels, you only get to play as him for ten seconds because you either get crushed. or fall into a pit. Also getting 50 rings in the first place is almost impossible. I think me and alot of people can agree this might be probably the worst sonic game avaiable. THIS GAME IS SO HORRIBLE! Please spend your money on sonic mania instead. this game is trash!!!

When I first tried the game on keyboard, I didn't really like the controls of you having to press L to jump, rather than Spacebar.. or Enter. So I switched to a controller, and the gameplay just simply upgraded! The game reminds me of me playing the free Sonic game on mobile back then, so it just became even better for me. The multiplayer variant of it is even more fun, and some of the bosses are actually really cool, such as the robot Mosasaurus. 10/10, I recommend this to you if you're used to movin' fast as frick in video games, or just love Sonic.

After 10 hours in this game, I can confidently say that this is THE WORST game I have ever played in my entire life, so bad that in the middle of it I thought that maybe I was to too harsh to Sonic Forces... I won't even try to beat Trip's Story because holy s#*t that fight against Fang is so frustrating like what do you mean his attacks ignore my rings and make me start everything all over again?! F#*k off. Seriously don't buy this game, there's nothing good about it and it's not worth beating it. The gameplay feels 1:1 as the Retro Engine does, and I'd say good job SEGA if the collisions weren't buggy, the spin-dash's momentum build up didn't have a cooldown, the level design wasn't so annoying, the enemies couldn't attack me from outside the camera and the bosses weren't boring and annoying to fight. Yeah let's make the player attack once every 30-60 seconds and need to hit 4-6 TIMES!! This also has the worst Special Stage I have ever played in my entire life, the emerald moves too fast and for the green one I had to try 7 TIMES IF NOT MORE just for the other two to be 100 times easier. Also you can only get one emerald per zone. Medals are pointless unless you wanna play a g…
