✦ AI summary

Life is Strange: Reunion brings back Max and Chloe for a reunion that divides players: fans of the characters praise the relationship development, beautiful art style, and engaging decision-making, while critics feel the story relies too heavily on fanservice without meaningful character growth or plot advancement, with poorly motivated antagonists and a lack of weight to the narrative. Most players who enjoy the franchise's character-driven storytelling and romance find it worth experiencing, though some consider it the weakest entry that undermines previous games' conclusions.

Hoping this is the end of our little fanfiction fest and we can move on to new main characters and new stories. I did really enjoy this game, but it's basic. And I enjoyed it because I'M basic. The detective aspect of the game is pretty solid and fun (despite the fact that it doesn't lead to anything interesting IMO), the art style is beautiful as always, and Moses is a gem of a character, but I can't praise much beyond this. I thought Double Exposure was setting us up for a truly wild ride, but uhhh. Nothing happens in this game. Brought Max back for two completely mid games where you think something interesting is happening, but haha gotcha ♥♥♥♥♥!! College administration politics!!! Both times!!!! Didn't even advance the development of Max's character or powers in any way whatsoever. So what was the point? ... Nostalgia. And I never even liked Chloe to begin with. So. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Gosh I love these girls! haha What a great and fun game. I really enjoyed Double Exposure, but Reunion was the cherry on top. All the fan service is there; Max and Chloe's relationship is lovely and very enjoyable to navigate and the story is interesting and brings a sense of urgency that makes you want to keep playing. The developers did a great job portraying the more mature version of both, without making them lose their essence. Is it perfect? No, not at all. Some side stories are poorly developed, and some outcomes are not clear, but it didn't change the amount of fun I had. This is the only franchise that makes me want to replay the whole thing over and over again.

They did it again! this game was nothing short of constant decision making, constant thinking, and constant adventures. I thoroughly enjoyed the game, and the buildup of MAX AND CHLOES relationship This probably has to be their best expansion yet, If there is anyone determining to get it or not RUN DONT WALK.

LIS Reunion is basically just Scream 7. The big-name characters get dragged back in several years after their fitting departure just to provide mediocre fanservice, and when the antagonists are unmasked you're left going "huh...?" because their motives were nothing more than a poorly written excuse to make this installment exist. I'm glad I got to play it for myself, but it's definitely the weakest entry in the franchise. The story is clearly built around Chloe's return and therefore lacks a strong foundation, plus it completely undoes the impact of LIS1 and tosses aside the DE cast. The ending was also far more linear than I expected. There's no weight to it because it was obviously designed with the sole intention of giving Max and Chloe a happy ending. Considering how beautifully tragic LIS1 and 2's endings were, this was a huge letdown for me. Your choices don't really matter since the final climax is an unchangeable cutscene. Also, one note regarding the technical performance: I had to play it on DX11 in order for it to run without crashing.

11 years of this wonderful story. I really like the atmosphere and the characters from this game and the whole series. It is also nice to have some representation as a woman that loves women. I loved the ending and I love that Max and Cloe are together; hopefully forever. If this is the last game with them, that's okay, this is a great ending, but if we keep going that's alright too, just try to keep giving these games great endings like you have been doing. Thanks for the entertainment and memories I get to cherish on my own jouney through life.
