Stop and Smell the Flowers

this is the most stressful game i've played

4/5 stars from me! A cute little, somewhat idle, relaxing game. You grow flowers, you harvest flowers, you try to find new flowers, you go after achievements, etc. I stopped after I got 5 of each type, but maybe someday I'll go back. My biggest complaint is that some of the flowers do NOT look like the real flower. Clover for example... whatever that is, is NOT clover. There are plenty of flowers that are pretty but a few of them are some strange artistic version, and that bothers me probably more than it should lol. Music can get a bit old, but it's not bad. Regardless, fun cute game, highly recommend.

[b] TLDR: i loved this, get the game! Relaxing, no-stress collection sim with a simple yet weirdly addictive gameplay loop. [/b] [hr][/hr] The dev is very clear with their marketing regarding the game -- this is a [i]calm, stress-free, and slow experience[/i], and it might not be for everyone. The only objective in the game is to complete the entire flower collection (consisting of Many, Many hybrids), which is done via a very simple and repetitive gameplay loop. Essentially, plant some seeds, collect flowers, turn them into more seeds, etc etc etc. There are essentially zero [i]challenging[/i] factors to the gameplay, and the progression is enjoyably smooth. So beware, high-stakes game enjoyers, this may not be for you. However, believe me when I say the game is surprisingly addictive. I'm not entirely the target audience for the experience, but I saw the post-launch devlogs about Stop and Smell the Flowers and just wanted to support a dev that made something real and out of their heart. This is a lovely game to play while listening to an audiobook and chilling. I enjoy growing all the beautiful flowers and adding them to the collection. Highly satisfying.
