Emily is Away Too

The first Emily is Away game was an interesting idea executed mostly well, but it was held back by some manipulative writing in which a character changes what she wanted based on your choice to ensure a sad ending. Thankfully, this sequel has done away with such writing. I was impressed by the consistency of the characters, by the things the game remembers/brings back, by the change to have two major characters to interact with, and with the originality & execution of Chapter 3. Overall this game is just a great sequel to the original because it takes everything that worked about it and improves & fleshes out everything it can. You can even get a happy ending here. Worth playing for story game fans that think a romance-drama game set in an old fake messenger app sounds appealing. It's pretty short though, so probably wait for a sale.

Very cute game, I liked it quite a bit and doesn't take long to beat at all! Buying these games when they are on sale is a must!

I miss Emily

This time, there's a good ending. Thank God. I think the dialogue options don't do the whole "I picked x, but my character typed y" thing as much this time too, which was a component that makes the dialogue a little more believable, but this one feels a little more personal because of the higher level of control. The new interface is pretty cool too (They took full advantage in Chapter 3). Overall, I think it's a step up considering all of the stuff that I haven't mentioned that's also in the game as well. If you liked the first one, you'll probably like this one too.
