I'm Making a Monster

This game took me 8 minutes to complete and 12 minutes to get all the achievements that you can get. The game is beautiful in the design and the story line is moving. the story focus's on Loss and grief. However is an extremely short game and I was disappointed in the fact that there is little interaction when building the "monster" and you don't even get to see the final creation. Was the game worth the money? No

I was very excited to try this game, the art is beautiful and the concept is right up my alley. However it really fell short for me, mostly due to how short it is. My first playthrough was maybe 15 mins, and playing through all the routes was 15 more. I think 11 CAD is pretty expensive for such a short game. I was also a little disappointed by how binary the choices are, its pretty obvious which one is the good and the bad answer... Idk I wish it delved deeper into everything, the characters, the relationships, because it's *so* short I found that everything stayed very surface level Still a very pretty game, I loved the soundtrack too

Very short game! I completed the game with all achievements in 15 minutes. There is not a lot of detail or choice in this game and ultimately all the choices I did make felt pointless - including the choices for actually making the monster. You never see the monster in its entirety, just a scene with its eyes and another with its hand. All characters are forgettable. There is only two endings and neither felt satisfying. Overall, this game is not worth $7 dollars - it plays more like a $1 experience.

A very short but beautiful game. The art is incredible. I do think the end fell flat a bit, I wish there was more to it, but I can't be mad with how little time I invested in it.

The art, music, and character writing of this game are fantastic. I want to give the devs their flowers for that. That alone made me choose to replay multiple times. It's also why I chose not to seek a refund for this game. However. The ending leaves much to be desired. You can play the entire game one way, but a single choice at the end throws all of that away. It took away from the rest of the game, and for what? It just felt bad. I'm sure the devs felt secure in the thematic points they were making, but for it all to boil down to a single choice made the rest of it feel like a waste of time.

Very very short game. I was expecting more. But it's a very sweet/dark novelish game about grief. You can either swallow yourself into darkness ignoring everyone or seek help and refuge through friends. I'd overall recommend it. Pretty art style, pretty music. But sadly so short.
