Monster Girl Therapy

To be honest, I didn't like either the characters or the minigames.

This is a game about interacting with scripted NPCS. It wants to make you feel for a cast of ero-MMO NPCs who've been stuck performing the same tired, archetypal roles for ages. To do this, it strips off the archetypal facades and superficial mannerisms. This empathetically reveals that every one is, in fact, a little logic machine playing herself out. I want to relate to these characters. I try to connect to them as a reader (there's very little playing done in this), and instead it's like I find mechanistic skeletons for the reader to psychologically model, and then pat himself on the back for "empathizing" with them. If that was all the game was aiming for, it would be achieving its very cynical goal, but it wants to go further. It and its protagonist want to rescue these characters, to give them new life beyond their dying game. Does it? I really wish I could say it does, but it's feels like there's something missing. i thoroughly enjoyed this little game. the characters are all well-written and, while some are better than others, the game does a great job at making them unique and likeable. the puzzles are surprisingly entertaining despite how simple they were. great music too. s'sinbal best girl

7/10. It was very simple, and the stock RPGMaker graphics were pretty obvious. The monster girls themselves were well designed, and the puzzles were adequate, none of them were brain-bending but they broke up the VN-style conversations. Decent humor and some introspection on facets of ourselves that are pretty well defined in each character, without any caricatures or outright silly characterizations. A fine, short experience, fits the price tag.

I liked the game, the characters are fun, they have interesting personalities and i feel like the conversations flow naturally, the only thing i disliked about the game was the fact that i couldn't play as a girl, but that option would probably cause the need for lots of tweaks in the dialogue of the characters, so i understand its lack of inclusion.

Fun little puzzles and interesting character vignettes to explore. Game makes you think, which is something the best games and stories get you to do!
