✦ AI summary

Reassembly captivates players with its deeply engaging ship-building mechanics that reward creative design and experimentation, backed by excellent visuals, music, and strong developer support that has kept the game updated through 2025. However, the experience becomes frustrating in mid-to-late game as friendly AI fails to engage effectively in combat and players struggle against overpowered enemy agents, making progression feel tedious.

this game lures you in with in depth ship building mechanics that pay attention to center of mass and thrust while automatically assigning thrusters to your WASD keys and a pretty fun early game. the mid-late game experience is equivalent to having a tooth pulled as your own fleet's AI REFUSES to function for asinine reasons and stays completely out of their weapons' effective range no matter what you try. all the while you're trying to prevent your spawns from getting deleted by mary sue player agents with no discernable weakness and every strength from being able to accelerate to the speed cap in every direction in half a second, have insane shields that make even a flying weapon brick not be able to put a dent in them, kill you in 0.3 seconds, and multiply so fast that there are 50 of those killboxes on screen. this game is unique, but I cannot reccomend it to anybody who likes to have fun playing games.

Sometimes I come back to this game and re-install it just because I like trying new configurations.

One of my bigger time sinks I played when I was younger. If you were one of those kids enamored by Gummi Ships from Kingdom Hearts, or played Blast Works for the Wii (highly recommended, for a similar ship building game!), this game will be right up your alley. The developers have been maintaining it up to 2025. It's a wonderful sandbox game, and the modding community is also fantastic. Easy 100+ hours for me, which is insanely good for the price.

there is no story to this game. just you and the game, you arent forced to do something its all about what you want to do and how.

I really liked this. The music and the visuals are simply incredible. You can play however much you want, and the geometry never ceases to amaze. I still find new ways to attach blocks.
