Orc Incremental

🪓 I Thought 26/28 Achievements Meant I Was Nearly Finished... Oh, How Wrong I Was Orc Incremental is one of those games that starts off looking relatively straightforward and then somehow manages to keep finding new ways to make you say, "Right, I'll just do this next bit..." before several more hours disappear. At its heart, it's exactly what the name suggests. You build up your orc army, improve your strength, unlock upgrades and gradually push further as the numbers get bigger and your little army becomes increasingly capable. If you enjoy that steady incremental feeling of starting with very little and slowly turning it into something considerably more powerful, there's plenty here to keep scratching that particular itch. What I particularly liked was that progression rarely felt like I was simply repeating exactly the same thing for the sake of making a number larger. New mechanics and challenges kept appearing, and I regularly found myself having to rethink what I was doing rather than simply waiting for enough resources to accumulate. This is the kind of game I like to run on a second monitor while I play a "real" game or watch YouTube. It's kinda like a design-your-army-and-see-how-it-does game. The most successful build I had took me to level 667, with all my units raging and war-pathing like a sprite driven hurricane, enemies barely able to strike before being obliterated, and coins of all denominations flying around to the point where I swear they were spilling out onto my lap. I mean, if you play this like a "game" it's fine. I never even attempted to play it like a Game. It'd drive you nuts! But if you need a corner of your brain filled whilst the majority of you does something more engaging it'll be just what you are looking for.

not worth it. the trials sucked and isn't good for an idle game.

It did well to scratch the auto-battler itch

Was fun at first however progression soon becomes a drag. For me it also became completely unplayable after the 1.0.6 update as it keeps crashing after a few minutes.
