Assassin's Creed Valhalla

i think the world was gorgeous. but i do have a thing for snowy environments and autumnal orangey vibes. the ships and raids reminded me a little bit about ac black flag, which was also nice. however. i only got to oxeneforscire until i couldn't continue any further. i really wanted to, but i ended up playing other games as palate cleanser..... the game was just so boring and kept repeating itself. in summary, the whole game so far was about - someone saying "follow me" and then you following them slooowlyyy for the next +500 m, mostly by foot - travelling to a location in the middle of nowhere, with zero fast travel options nearby (which resulted in me scrolling my phone, while waiting for eivor to either reach the destination or get stuck by ship) - eivor (= me) killing all the enemies in camps with zero help, since all the allies preferred to watch from the sidelines i think the stamina restriction was fine during boss etc. one-on-one fights, but otherwise it was annoying and unnecessary. i initially liked the idea of building the settlement, but raids started to feel too repetitive after a while, so the initial excitement waned. i personally liked legendary animals…

great game its assassins creed viking style

Massive game, bloated with content, storytelling that makes you prefer to watch grass grow, and gameplay that just gets by. The AC franchise is the definition of 'dead in the water'. Still there is something enjoyable if purchased on a sale.

It's a great story, and one of the strongest in the recent AC games. The gameplay is fun. Try a shieldmaiden build!

The game is expansive and immersive with plenty of quests and side quests to complete. The world and graphics are beautiful. As well, I really like the combat and movement system that the game offers. This game tends to crash however, so please keep that in mind when buying. As well, some of the plot tends to take me out of the immersion of the world, which is a bit of a bummer to me.

Well, it's really hard to sum up a game this big in just a few lines. The game starts off amazing: you marvel at the world, the characters, combat, and progression. Everything looks incredible, and you feel like this will definitely be your next main game. However, at some point during this journey (for me, it was around 50 hours in) it starts to feel a little empty. The main story gets completely sidelined, and the loop of building alliances becomes really tiring. Some regions are great, others not at all... But my main complaint is the ending. You go all over England recruiting a bunch of people, and for what? Nothing. I started rushing through the end because I was just so tired, and the ending left me really disappointed. So, is it worth it? It definitely is! The open world is one of the best I've ever seen! Great characters, tons of things to do, and the combat is good. But in the end, it feels like they turned a true GOTY contender into a slow, repetitive experience with a story that starts out awesome and fades away as time goes on.
