✦ AI summary

Tower Dominion is a tower defense game with unique map-building mechanics and good enemy and weapon variety that most players find engaging and replayable, though opinions split on whether the randomness and RNG elements enhance or detract from the experience. Some players struggle with frustrating late-wave losses caused by unpredictable path generation and tower targeting, while others embrace the chaos as part of the roguelite appeal. Players suggest it's worth picking up for those who enjoy replayable tower defense games, though it may frustrate those who expect full control over outcomes.

The randomness of the path tiles is miserable. I can't for the life of me defeat certain units. The towers that can hit the specific unit I struggle with don't target priority that unit, but instead shoot other things. Losing within the last three rounds every time isn't a fun experience. If you are looking for something to rinse and repeat over and over, and you don't NEED to win, the game can be worth $20. But if you get angry when losing, the game has too many instances of random to be enjoyable.

Personally, the best TD I've played to date. 8/10 There is room for new modes, like challenge mode, maybe even a campaign with deckbuilding mechanics or something if devs ever decide to spend some more time on this, but even at its current point, the game is great. Enemy variety is perfect (shielded, air, invisible, hydra-type that splits into smaller units on death), weapon variety is great, although it would've been nice if the game was more transparent with concrete values for stats. (I know it might have been a conscious decision to not show them, as not having them makes players unable to fully solve the game and the uncertainty may keep it more fun.) The RNG can be chaotic at times, but you can alt f4 as your base blows up to "reset" to the state of the game to before the wave that killed you started and adjust to what is about to spawn. (I learned this because the aforementioned rng can be pretty frustrating and the first few times I just alt f4'd out of rage) It took me about 70 hours to clear frontier with every commander - but the first 20ish hours have been during online meetings, which slowed down my progress in-game. I still sometimes come back for another run to se…

This game is quite good actually, however i think if the devs add a function that can stop time to let players decide during one wave will be great Fun to play: 8/10 (due to the lack of instructions) OST: 5/10 (personal opinion since I have a very high standard in music, u guys can simply ignore this part and treat me as a privilege music critic) Art: 6.5/10 (very unique art style, can't compare to those games focusing on in game art but still has no issue) Difficulty: not built for upsetting players Unique game mechanism design and turret design: 10/10 The core mechanism of the game, which is players have to build their own map, is very unique. TBH i have never seen anything like this before, yet i decide this mechanism itself worth a recommendation However there's still some issues In game economy system: quite broken (different factions has different economy structure which kind of ruin the In game economy system) RNG dependence: heavy Despite the issues i have encountered so far in this game, i do recommend this game simply because it's fun, the even better part is that the game's difficulty can be manipulated by player's actions despite heavy fortune dependent

Pretty fun TD with lots of replayability. Very big fan of the roguelite aspects, big nerd for that kinda stuff. 8/10 -2026
