Time Rifters

This game is quite mindless; in a good way. You basically pick a stage, pick a weapon and shoot at big Minecraft blocks. Once you've destroyed all of the big Minecraft blocks, you play the stage again, but this time you have your Mario Kart replay ghost shooting with you. This loop continues until you either quit the game, or your computer overheats, explodes, catches on fire, etc. Also the game looks like it was made with assets from the Unity marketplace. Anyway, I rate this game a My computer has flames coming from it, I'm typing this review on my laptop/10. (I haven't played this game since the 14th of June 2019.)

This is enjoyable, but pretty shallow. The gimmick of playing through levels repeatedly, working with your previous runs, works fairly well. It turns the game into a shooter-puzzle hybrid. But I did find the gameplay getting repetitive fairly quickly. Expect a short diversion that will entertain for a few hours at most; but it's priced reasonably enough for that.

For those who had the pleasure of discovering this beauty on their DK1 or DK2, this feels like a downgrade. However, its still a beautiful game. Truly feel as though the devs are missing out on a golden opportunity by not remaking this game using modern VR engines. I have hopes they will see this and finally start putting this project into the works. I can only dream...

[h1] 8/10 [/h1] Such a cool idea that has a lot of room for improvement. Hopefully we get a game that does improve upon this concept one day.
